People saying that racism is everywhere don't know that in India there are laws against it and you can even protest ,same goes with most of the countries but in Korea there aren't any laws, you can be discriminated and can't fight because it's legal and normal. Edit:- If some person makes a racial remark on you they can be arrested as it is a crime, but in Korea you can bully someone and they can't take any legal action against them. The way you look can affect your job, better looking people are preferred more. Koreans can sometimes be very mean, they will say what they think about you on your face, "Lose some weight","You should use skin lightening cream", etc. Although there are many good people there too. People in the replies seem to misunderstand my point, I did not say racism doesn't exist in India, it does, but legal action could be taken against a person who does that but in Korea there are no such laws, their legal system doesn't protect them against racial discrimination.
I watched the video today only and honestly I agree with the UA-camr many things as well as disagree with her on many things as regards the video. And she looks beautiful and despite being a brown-skinned girl, she is prettier than even many Korean girls and women since Koreans do plastic surgery to look good but she is a natural beauty. I am sure even many Korean there found her a good looking lady since she does look good as per both our Indian as well as our current international beauty standards. Only request to her from me is that, if she loses a weight little bit, she'd rock as a fashion model,😊 and for your information, many Indian ladies do work as models in Korea as Indian beauties.🙂. I think she should take it positively as if they were giving her extra attention over themselves.😅 Secondly, black people and brown people are not same at all since brown people are overall much better-looking than black people. Thirdly, 1:08 to 1:13, when that uncle did that "thak thak" or whatever to her, she should have simply ignored him and keeping her face straight should have straightaway entered into that shop/mall/store viewing that uncle as a random low-class labourer. And she should not have insulted herself by making that edited pic of her face on body of an animal, this is because respect, self-respect and honour of a female person is of a different level altogether. Fourthly, 2:56 to 3:16.... if she had done as much skin-care as the Koreans trust me, she'd have become much more beautiful than the Koreans. 3:17 to 3:45.... when that thing happened to her, she should have just ignored that shouting uncle and slowly should have kept her seat backwards and should have recorded whatever the uncle shouted on her phone's voice-recording system and saved it to confirm whether he hurled any rude or abusive words towards her or not. Fifthly, be it Seoul or elsewhere, do not give a damn about anyone and if Koreans are busy in their lives in Seoul then foreigners too should become busy with their lives without bothering anyone. Do not make eye-contact with racist people anywhere unless they physically bother you, and just keep doing whatever you were/are doing during that time. Sixthly, 5:44 to 5:51..... sorry to say but I would not bother to learn Korean language to visit South Korea since foreigners do not learn Hindi or Tamil while visiting India. Seventhly, 6:30 to 6:47.....Mein innki baat nahin manti. I do not agree with her on this since I would never go to any country thinking about racism and if anyone racially discriminates against me I'd give it back to them and report against them to police and even speak to Indian Embassy to Korea as well as Korean Embassy to India including contacting Indian media news channels etc. And expose those Koreans but not before giving those Koreans' bad behavioural activities back to them with no returns for everyone's whole life.

Koreans are most racist people on earth. A black guy once visited Korea and he said how uncomfortable he felt in Korea The famous phrase Asians hate other Asians is invented because of Koreans. They think of themselves as top tier Asians and other Asians are below them and here some clown k drama fans are defending them even though they never visited Korea in their life.

some of the biggest entertainment industries Hollywood, Korean entertainment, and Bollywood and some british entertainment have also been romaticized and fantasized,
Even if ya don't know, bollywood is also big outside India , people in some central Asian countries, some south east asain and people in few couple european countries also fantasize Bollywood
The "Hally wave" or Korean entertainment wave is new and hot all over the world recently, it is having people love them / get obsessed to them , some in a toxic way ya can see, Such patterns are nothing new

To the Indians that say, "I was treated well". My question is, are you by any chance a fair-looking human? Because the issue isn't about Indian. The issue is how dark your skin is. As an example, Koreans refer to dark skin koreans as "filipino" or basically calling dark skin Korean, Philippines. Koreans tend to look down on other Asian countries. Which is why the constant fanatic love from some Indian and Philippines especially, towards koreans, baffles me. For those ssaying," but our idols are different ". No, they are not. They are just smart enough to know you are their stable revenue source and will try their best not to offend the hands that feed them. During the late 90s and early 2000s when Bollywood is pretty much the go to entertainment around the globe, I don't recall indian being that racist towards Chinese or other races. They just mind their own business. Infact a lot of interracial marriage between Chinese and Indian happened during that time due to Bollywood.
No some of those countries became developed by stealing things from others, now a days best stealing is educated people they offer them everything to to get them into their countries from third world, some of this countries don’t wanna see developed India developed South Asia.

Go to Western countries like the U.S. or Europe. You will truly experience how harsh racism can be. In Korea, people don't assault or kill others just because they are from a different race. In fact, Korea is a country that significantly protects the human rights of foreigners, even those who, like you, insult Korea.

For new visitors - follow my advices. 1). Koreans do not really care where you are from...they will be courteous to you as long as your show your respect. 2). Learn do's and don'ts in the country...learn to blend in. Learn them before you arrive. 2). Korea is one of the safest and easiest place to visit - everything is wired up, and you can easily access all necessary information on your mobile phone (including translation services by KNTO - available in English) - translation service as well as live text services to assist all tourist are available for free. USE THEM! (PS: Free Wifi pretty much covers entire Seoul). 4). Things are expensive there - one of the priciest place on earth (both Seoul and Tokyo).

Ive been to S.Korea 5 times and i found the korean men and women very respectful and had no issues in nightclubs, korean restaurants, malls, hotels. They usually are hesitant to talk much because they dont speak English fluently and perhaps thats why they may not want to engage much with foreigners. One of the Korean lady owners of a nightclub used to make it a point to almost regularly take me out for korean breakfast with her staff. You should learn about how the current developed countries became developed. S. Korea is basically a US vassal as is Japan. They sold their lives in exchange for US money. That is why they work so hard. All their development is basically a gift to them by America. They didn't earn it on their own. And how did US get developed? By looting the native north and south Americans, Africans and us, Indians. Europe got developed by looting India. Not only did they steal wealth, they also stole our knowledge and changed the names of the scientists from Indian to European. This is why they spread so much negative propaganda against India because they want to hide the truth. So, from a bunch of thieves how can you expect civility?

Beauty is generally correlated with wealth in almost all countries, but it reaches abnormally high proportions in Republic of Korea. Not surprised though, given their booming plastic surgery industry. If you look at history, it all began with an US marine doctor who initiated this treatment for medical reasons (treating S. Korea victims of war during turbulent years of the previous century), but then he figured out the business potential of this treatment method. The rest is what we see now, especially the kind of society that emerged from the debris of war.

As a Chinese person, East Asian China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan are very similar. I think that because Korea has tremendous soft power internationally, its shortcomings are also highlighted. To be honest, all East Asian countries are racist or xenophobic towards Southeast Asians or people of color. Atleast in this case they should not defend Korea. You're right, racism is everywhere like if Koreans visit India they will face racism too.
As for me, I am an Indian woman myself in my early 30s.🙂.
Firstly, 0:00 to 0:10, she was wearing saree which is an attire totally different from clothes of East Asian countries since East Asians' attires are similar to Western countries' outfits in many ways, so them staring at her is no big deal in my opinion. I think she should take it positively as if they were giving her extra attention over themselves.😅
Secondly, black people and brown people are not same at all since brown people are overall much better-looking than black people.
Seventhly, 6:30 to 6:47.....Mein innki baat nahin manti. some of the biggest entertainment industries Hollywood, Korean entertainment, and Bollywood and some british entertainment have also been romaticized and fantasized,
Even if ya don't know, bollywood is also big outside India , people in some central Asian countries, some south east asain and people in few couple european countries also fantasize Bollywood
The "Hally wave" or Korean entertainment wave is new and hot all over the world recently, it is having people love them / get obsessed to them , some in a toxic way ya can see,

Forget Korea, This happened in Anantapur, India, where they have a significant Korean population, there is a restaurant which denies entry for Indians.
Even in India, I think it's in Bangalore or somewhere , there is a place where the South Koreans are living. They do not allow Indians to their restaurants.Once a guy shot a video regarding this, I remember.

British by nationality, I've resided in South Korea and India. I've observed that Indians, on the whole, tend to be highly emotional and sensitive. This video serves as a compelling illustration. Playfully, my Indian colleagues used to remark, "Hamish, we Indians despise... racism... prejudice... even among ourselves."
im indian myself, and i agree that racism exists in korea, but at the start they were staring at you wearing a saree because its not usual to see someone in traditional clothes, especially the one's that are not korean. so i dont think they were being racist, but they were just curious and not used to it. wouldnt u react the same way if someone from a different country wore their traditional dress in your country?

Beauty is generally correlated with wealth in almost all countries, but it reaches abnormally high proportions in Republic of Korea. Not surprised though, given their booming plastic surgery industry.
If you look at history, it all began with an US marine doctor who initiated this treatment for medical reasons (treating S. Korea victims of war during turbulent years of the previous century), but then he figured out the business potential of this treatment method. The rest is what we see now, especially the kind of society that emerged from the debris of war.

I like Japan as far east country there manners, there respect, cleanliness everything is good in japan.
Japan is superior to Korea but also quite racist.
However, there are a lot more good people, and I think that is changing these days as all East Asian countries become global. I think this is because East Asia is all single-ethnic countries with strong national power and advanced countries.
Just because they have better manners than Koreans, doesn't mean they like Indians. As a Korean, I'm 100 percent sure.
