This exact thing happens to me with writing, as a creative writer i really struggle with starting my work, the anxiety really gets to me and the fear of making it perfectly just leads me to not even start the piece, but when I get into the swing of things I enjoy it and like the final outcome!
Idk why, but seeing her so happy and chipper in the intro made my day.

I really like the light hair finally but I would've love a dark purple colour on the lips though to balance all out. It still looks amazing, incredibly beautiful. I suggest "Luv Ander/Love Ander" as her name, a small pun with "love" because she looks lovely and "lavender" because of the purple

I remembered when I watched one of your videos colouring in the flower girls book using the colour orange, I absolutely ran to my flower girls book you had, finded the right page for me to colour in but using the colour green and then used one of the paper you had used! That is the girl who was coloured in purple! Thats insane! Also your art work are a masterpiece! Keep on the great work!!!

9:57 You're right about that, I get that feeling of oh... I do not know how this is going to turn out and I get somewhat nervous lol because I want it to look cool. I noticed every time I just get started regardless and continue with going for the intended look it turns out nice still. I just try to have faith in my drawing practice, and it just works out. As I just go with the flow of the drawing or the painting, I just gain more confidence or acceptance saying this is going to turn out fine and I like it.
You talking about art anxiety is so familiar, and also very helpful. I'm confined to bed with disabilities and art is one of my few outlets, one of the only hobbies I can usually manage physically and which benefits me mentally. But for the past few years I have lost the confidence to even try to create anything. I really am my harshest critic in all areas of my life, and I have been missing out on even more experiences because of my lack of self belief. The way you speak about your own struggles regarding the stress of starting a piece or project, and the way you say that we mustn't judge ourselves because in the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter if we make mistakes as we are supposed to be having fun and enjoying ourselves, has given me the motivation to pick up a pencil for the first time in a long time. As I've been watching your videos I have been drawing alongside you. I was having a very dark day today, but you have brightened it up and put a spark of light on my horizon, just when I needed it. Thank you, Temi 💝

What I love from watching these one color challenge videos is seeing the artist brain work. Because now we need to rethink and challenge our brains and imagination to get those shades, highlights and midtones with one type of color and it’s really fun.

Wow! This came out so nice! Especially the flowers and the dress. In my view making the sleeves translucent created this implication/illusion that the main part of the dress has the same translucent material over a more solid fabric and it looks amazing!

I'm a perfectionist who often stops myself from starting a project out of subconscious fear the outcome won't be perfect. However, since I took up quilting as a hobby, I've clung to one of the community's favorite mantras- "done is better than perfect." So when I make a small mistake on a quilt (or another hobby) that 99 people out of 100 would never notice and would take a huge amount of effort to fix (or might be unfixable) so I'm stressing and wanting to quit... I just remember- "done is better than perfect" to power on through. A similar sentiment is "don't let perfect be the enemy of good." Both help me when I get that anxiety at the beginning of a project or when faced with results I'm not thrilled about (yet- I've never been disappointed with the final product)

As someone who does art and also has aphatasia, the anxiety to start is so real! When you can't picture how something is going to look in your head theirs so much anxiety that it isn't going to come out right and honestly it can get a little imposter syndrome-y. I just found your channel a little while ago and they are a huge inspiration for me! Love the piece and your attitude towards creating art is beautiful 💕✨️
