My husband and I are going to Italy for our anniversary in a few months (late March/early April) , and your videos have been SO helpful and informative, I can't imagine how we'd have planned it without you! I can't wait, and my husband will be impressed when I show him all the hidden gems, and the restaurants, and the history I know now. Thanks, Elyssa!
Whether it's the Pantheon, the Christmas Tree at the Rockefeller Center or the recently re-opened Notre Dame in Paris, I've found that the early morning hours are magic.
Yeah, I've always told visitors to see the Trevi at night, it's just more spectacular and dramatic when it's lit. The Pantheon and Piazza della Rotonda is a favorite and the story of the stuck Pantheon doors is a favorite Pantheon story, too.
Trevi fountain is beautiful, but omg, Pantheon is mesmerising, sooo beautiful at night and without crowd!😍 Thank you for the tips, since last year was my first time in Rome, and Italy in general, i cant wait to be back especially with the all de renovations completed. 😄
Yes, that's why I say, head to the Pantheon for even more beautiful pix early morning! Also Piazza Navona - nobody there at this hour, either. The Trevi Fountain has a draw, but some of our other piazzas and fountains I find even more beautiful. And stay tuned for my next video where I'll share news about the renovations!
I love your videos! You’ve helped my husband and I with our trip. We were there in Sept/oct and hubby has surprised me with a trip over Valentine’s Day. Do you have a favorite romantic dinner spot you recommend?
The Trevi Fountain is without a doubt an icon, but as I mentioned, there are so many other stunning piazzas and fountains in Rome. I live here and I can never get enough!
Did I hear you right, they are now charging for the Pantheon? Even early morning like 6am visits? I hope they don’t charge for Trevi Fountain. I do like the idea of limiting 400 people at the base of the fountain in order to manage the experience. People around the world love Rome, but seem to forget their manners. Thank you for the update, Elyssa. 🌻
Thanks for the update Elyssa, how are the officials going to keep track of the 400 they are limiting to? my thoughts are maybe giving a ticket to people in batches of 400 then when they all go admit the next 400,. This thought of mine will probably not happen but we shall as always rely on your great advice.
Two questions first one is that fountain in front of the pantheon going in January because it was in your video and second question as a solo female if you were by yourself, did you feel safe that early early in the morning to be by yourself if there was nobody around and what time was that?
Don't forget the protests by those anoying enviormentalists over the years, That this fountain has been targeted by. These restrictions might help mitigate those protests.
This video is not only about a possible fee, but about a new way to visit, which is big news. We've never had restrictions like this at the Trevi fountain before. I'm sorry you found my video confusing.

I will be there for a month in early April. Thank you so much for the information; it helps a lot.
Mille grazie! Seeing the Pantheon that way took my breath away and made me get teary eyed.
So glad you enjoyed it! It gets me every time! It was hard to leave and go film at the Trevi Fountain after that :)

Definitely! Great idea about the tree in Rockefeller Center! I'll have to try that next time I'm in NYC for the holidays :)

Thanks Elyssa!
Thanks for watching!
My wife and I going for the first time to Rome , can please recommend us a place to stay?
It’s the Jubilee Year of the Pope
At present all the hotels are expensive even though we thought of booking it early for may 2025. Best to avoid Italy till 2026
Will it still be possible to walk across Pza di Trevi unrestricted? Just cutting through so to speak without getting caught in a queue?
I still don’t understand why people stay there and do nothing like there’s nothing else to do in Rome.
The Trevi Fountain is without a doubt an icon, but as I mentioned, there are so many other stunning piazzas and fountains in Rome. I live here and I can never get enough!
Nothing else to do in Rome???? Are you serious or so disinterested in its history???!!!!😮
Have you seen the scene from Tototruffa 1962 where Toto sold the trevi fountain?
Did I hear you right, they are now charging for the Pantheon? Even early morning like 6am visits?

3:01 They don't ban selfie poles???
At the moment, no.

Is it safe to walk there early in the morning?
I always feel very safe. Everything is well lit, there are police around, and even if it's "uncrowded", it's not totally deserted.

If it stops all the grifters around the fountain that will be awesome
Well, it should certainly stop them coming down to the basin at least.
maybe they charge maybe not if u arent sure dont post this kinda videos more confusion then needed!
