You can tell it's Seattle where the locals forgot how to drive from the moment the first flake hit the street and the East coast natives are just like "it's Monday".
Thank you for posting this. You had more than we had a little bit south in the "South Sound" area. For a lot of reasons this has been a tough week, this was nice to see. Thank you.
As someone from the deeper south, I can concur. I've seen snow once-when I was 9-and all I can remember was it was cold. That's not to say I don't mind cool weather, but when the water starts to freeze, that's a step too far.
@@ConstantlyDamaged I was just talking to my brother about how we don't get good shrimp up here either! never fresh, forget it lol, always tiny frozen ghetto scrimpies :P
Cold on the west coast? I'm in southern California and we were running the ac until the first week of November. I've written a light jacket twice so far and haven't turned on the heater. Maybe it's been cold up north but it's been HOT here.
Obviously you haven't absorbed the Seattle ethos that when it snows, everyone is supposed to stay inside and panic! Wait, everyone is already staying inside and panicking.
Only half the population in Seattle hide indoors and panic. The other half burn the city down, then wait for the other half to stop hiding and come out to rebuild it. Rinse and repeat.
My opinion hasn't changed with regard to the unhoused in our city or in any other city. They need three things: 1. a secure location where they can place possessions during the day when they go to work, etc. 2. Basic needs services like bathrooms, maybe even showers somewhere, and more public access to basic medical care would be great. 3. We have to end immediately and completely the horrible dehumanizing and brutal sweeps of encampments which do nothing but destroy possessions and turn people out into the cold in the middle of a pandemic.
@@DeviantOllam I'm homeless, and understand your empathy, but the vast majority are heroin and meth addicts, who don't want to rejoin society. They don't have jobs, and use theft to support their habits. I appreciate your opinion, and will glady show you what happens in these camps. While I was homeless in Federal Way, I spent a ton of time trying to separate the homeless in need that need a hand up, and the drug users and theives that just wanted a handout. Unfortunately, most people lump both in the same category. There are a ton of 'invisible homeless' that live in their car, and do work, but you never hear about them because they make too much to be eligible for services, but not enough to get reliable housing. Also, love your work, you've taught me a bunch of stuff and I appreciate your sense of humor and method of sharing your knowledge.
Let's hear about the average home's most glaring vulnerability to entry: The chimney. Does even DeviantOllam have the guts to take on Big Santa?!
I bet we could build something that enters the chimney and opens doors from the inside

Meanwhile in Wales it is wind and rain as usual ;-) Hope to visit Seattle again one day, enjoyed my brief stay there for work years ago.
yeah, that's what we have in my part of alaska.
Thank you for posting this.

Used to live fairly close to this area. Am a former West Seatteite, now currently unemployed South Seattleite, Yay! 2020 begone!
Didn't realize how narrow the streets in Seattle are compared to here. Happy holidays everyone. Stay safe please.
They are narrow in the west peninsula, yeah
Trading the Saturn Jupiter observations for snow isn't so bad.
If it's in Seattle it's all bad.
Earlier this year we moved from Seattle after 20 years (about 11 in West Seattle)...thank you for posting this ♥️
Nice shot of easy street , one of my favorite spots growing up in W.S.! Snowing off and on still up in north Seattle slushy stuff
Yeah, they are quite the local institution
Christmas music on point!
Bad Religion's Christmas album is outstanding
@@DeviantOllam Literally the only thing i listen to around this time of year. haha
happy winter solstice all around. o7
Living in northern Germany we're supposed to have snow too... But, alas, there's Deviant to at least remind us how it's like.
I never thought I’d miss snow, but the great white north, hasn’t had much snow at all. Nice to see
Beautiful
As a Georgia boy, this is EXACTLY how I like to see snow... on a screen.... filmed far away from me... lol... Y'all enjoy and be safe though!!!

I'm gonna send a box of snow from Canada to ya'll!!! LOL Go enjoy some pies and BBq for me, we have the worst bbq up here :(

Aww snow in Seattle
I somehow missed that you are a neighbor! Thought ya looked familiar!😉 Thanks for all the great info man!🤘
Big flakes = won't snow long, source: Canadian.
Also, it's Seattle. Snow sticks typically for a day in Seattle.
Doesnt mean it can accumulate quicky source New Englander

Haven't seen snow like that since Jersey!
cool!
Cool 68° south Louisiana
So it’s been especially cold this winter on the west coast. I wonder if that’s why it’s snowing already?

Any chance you could share the name of the artists behind the rock carols? I would like to hear more by them.
They're from Bad Religion's album "Christmas Songs" & it's on UA-cam! Merry Christmas!!! :)
@@Scott-kl6ej Thank you! Merry Christmas!
Scott nailed it. That's B.R.'s wonderful (but short) holiday album! Greg's iconic voice is unmistakable. 🤘
In that single snowfall you've beaten our month to date precipitation total for Dec. in MN.
What’s up neighbor!
Second or third dry december in a row in chicago, meanwhile...
And I even bought fucking snow tires this year, damnit!
Weird.... No snow here in Vancouver yet
Finally you are getting snow woot woot
Bragger! Last time it snowed down here in the South, it melted before it actually hit the ground. :(
Bad Religion and Bing Crosby as you'd expect...
Oh great if your getting snow then it will be coming my way
One would hope, eh?
and it's back to rain
Merry Christmas Mr and Mrs Deviant :)

Did I see a small roundabout? Rare in USA?
We have teeny roundabouts here, yeah. Often called roundy-bounds ;-)
pretty snow but you can keep it there lol
merry christmas @deviant and comment section.. still no snow here tho

Only rain here in pdx.
O hey Deve has good taste in music. Nice!
Wait! You're out of Seattle? Hmmm... Why didn't I know that? Guess I wasn't paying attention.
What!? It didn’t snow at all in Olympia that I have seen recently
Maybe you will get some in the coming days. It's mostly melted from grounds and streets now but we still have the snow on roofs and lawns
No shit. Seattle, eh?
Looks nicer (and nominally safer) than Federal Way tonight. Ours is nothing but a black slippery slush since the snow landed on all the rainwater
ahh...Felony Way... ;)
Yea its all fun and games until you have to drive down the 405 without overhead lights.
I have never seen snow.
Now you have. :-)
What dash cam is this?
GoPro 9 Black
It is me holding up a cell phone as the truck rolls around our streets. :-)
Lord, people always drive like idiots on the 5 when it snows
Boooo, I want snow
This unusual?
Yeah, it pretty unusual, enough so that a lot of people seemingly forget how to drive for sure.
I live further north than 80%of the population in Canada (Liverpool UK) and I have not seen snow that lasted in years. I am jealous.
