    The finishing touches made this part look so clean and easy. You all have done a terrific job. Wouldn't want to work in the cold, but someone has to finish the job. Days are shorter too due to the time change. I have faith in you to get it done.

    Kathie you have really conquered your fear of heights, up on the roof, riding the man lift. You and Rich make a great team.

    And it looks even better in person! Those brackets really give that large wall character. Nice to know that the other wall didn't take as many days to complete.

    Renting the manlift was the smartest thing you did. People tend to focus on the money part of things. There is no dollar sign that can be placed on working safe, semicomfortable, and efficient. Its done. It looks great! Everyone is healthy. Memories were made. What's next.
    Great job on the editing. But not only the editing. The complete presentation. Awesome work!
    I thought it would be easy for the semi techy me to make a few videos of me restoring my truck. Nope! Definitely not easy and very time-consuming. Looking forward to your next video. 🍻✌️

      Appreciate that very much. Definitely no regrets. Sorry you had a tough time with editing… sometimes it’s literally excruciating 😣 lol

    Wow! It looks so beautiful! The man lift was totally costly, but safety is priceless. One day that shelter logic should be replaced by a tool shed. Another job added to the list, eh. No pressure, eh. Sorry I'm 🇨🇦. 🙂😀👍👍

    T111 tends to do that. Maybe it's already in your plans, but another coat of stain to even out the color followed by some sealer will help a lot. Sealer applies the best with a pump sprayer. Keep up the good work!

    Ouch... Budget is not a fixed cost as we have found out. We just realized ourselves that to tie in the appearance we need matching corbels for the deck covering. I just hope this does not impede our progress. We are going to order them tomorrow. Will we ever get things right the first time?

    • @CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid
      @CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid  День тому

      Yes, definitely ouch, but money well spent for the safety and ease of tough to reach areas. Feel you on the corbels… hope they’re not too expensive and come in quickly!

    Great progress! It does look like a nomall house indeed 👍👏. I believe that was your goal :-). However, all the bark you left on the short pieces, that's a huge no-no. It's like kindergarten for the wood eating bugs, so you always want to remove all bark on any wood of a house or any woodem structure.

    • @CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid
      @CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid  2 дні тому +1

      Thanks, and we had no idea but it's too late now. Hopefully it won't be too much of a problem.

      @@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid I understand, I didn't know that either, when I started to build our small ranch. Some friends told me while helping me and sure enough, I think under about a quarter of the bark I have removed were already little tunnels and worms. I hope it's better in Adirondacks! Anyway, it's very little work to remove it, so it's always safer to do it in the future.
