I’m pretty sure this stage is a check for cotc treasures. So I would recommend to complete cotc and get every treasure, since even missing one treasure makes it way harder.

Ramen to deal with Boraphim, they've always been a threat since it's introduction in general. If you have Sanzo try to get his Angel target talent to slow them down.

At least when you finish the Treasure grind you won't have to do it again.
