I only got to know Cheng Xiao, Xuanyi, and Meiqi because of Idol Producer I & Produce 101 China before I found out that they were part of WJSN (Cosmic Girls) where both XY & MQ won & became part of Rocket Girls while Cheng Xiao was one of the mentors in Idol Producer hosted by PD Zhang Yixing.

It's not her decision Cheng Xiao's originally is not from starship, she's from yuehua a Chinese company, yuehua collaborate with starship to create wjsn but because of thaad and hallu ban in China 2016 wjsn couldn't promote in China, 3 years after debt and the group didn't hit big and the chinese company didn't profit anything so they decided to sends thier artists (Cheng xiao, meng meiqi, wu xuanyi) back to China
I don't why thier are always alot of Koreans comments scolding Cheng xiao under her videos in UA-cam without knowing the whole story🙄

She was crazy popular in Korean at that time .. if you watch lets eat dinner she is known as Miss popular always being trended since debut because her visual look like Barbie doll and more crazy popular because her performed in isac gymnastic.... she also "carry hard" in group.. exy and Soobin said "we are became popular because of her(cx)" she also collaborated with many famous Idols like Cha eunwoo, rowoon, Jimin, and one stage with Lisa seulgi, her best friend is Joy, tzuyu Mina Momo sana. She also closed with jin BTS like siblings.. so u can imagine if she stayed in Korea she would be huge Idols and global superstar

In my opinion, the only successful and famous WJSN members are CHENG XIAO, WU XUAN YI and BONA.
Yeoreum and Dayoung are just starting to become famous because of the variety shows KICK A GOAL and QUEENDOM puzzle alone. In my opinion, Dayoung hasn't shown her abilities in KICK A GOAL, it's like she's just showing off and adding views for the program.
