In figma I am exporting high quality image of size 1400×800 After this it's dimensions in properties is showing 2800×1600 still quality is good But when I upload it in medium its quality is looking very bad Why is this happening? I followed all things correctly what ever you told in video
It’s correct. Medium basically generates 2 versions. High and low res. Try to publish and click on an image and wait for a few seconds for the high resolution image to load.
Thank you for the informative content. I've been binge-watching your videos. I have two questions. Q1) Is there a difference between using a 'Scale' plugin and using the scale tool in Figma by pressing 'k' to resize the image? Q2) Wouldn't it be easier to just design at 1x resolution and then export at 2x or 3x resolution, rather than scaling the frame, rasterizing it, and then scaling it back down? I'm just curious.
@@DesignPilot Thanks for the quick reply. I did the testing of scaling up the image by using a 'Scale' plugin and using the scale tool in Figma by pressing 'k' but they look the same to me. What difference is there? 🧐🤔
So,you are talking about if some one is looking at my case study from their macbook then we need to export the image at 2x but what will happen if someone looking at my case study from their windows laptop? As i am exporting the image at 2x for macbook, not for the windows. So, does that mean my image going to be beyond the edges of the windows screen? I watched your mobile app design video where you talked about the resolution and i understand that we need to design at 1x then for different different resolution we need to export the assets at 2x,3x based on the device resolution. So the device is automatically going to take the scaled assets that fits with the device that's mean 3x resolution device going to take 3x asset and 2x resolution device going to take 2x assets because we are providing all types of assets. But here we r just uploading only 2x for macbook. Not for the windows. So what will happen?
Thanks Chetan for this awesome video I was trying to add a cover photo for my medium article of size 1400 x 1500 exporting @ 2x and still it got pixelated...Upon many hit & trial I found out any image of height > 800 will get pixelated even after 5 minutes... whatever the width
It will not reduce the resolution. It will reduce the quality. But you’re unnecessarily increasing the load time of images for no reason. The image doesn’t need 8000px it needs only 1080pixels

@@DesignPilot Still I am facing the same issue even after reloading it multiple times. Does that matter if I am on a windows laptop?
You need to give it time to load the high resolution one. Also make sure the image is edge to edge on medium.
@@DesignPilot In figma the image is 1400px and I exported it in 2X then too it is not going edge to edge in medium
You need to change the picture setting in medium buddy 😅

1. Yes
2. Your method also works, but the problem is exporting and saving is a pain in the ass. Unnecessary extra files

Sorry, I meant that there is no difference

Make a video on figma export. So behance ui design is so sharp whereas mines are not that.
This video is about that only

Still the images are getting pixalted . Please tell what else can be done sir
Are you checking it in medium or just after exporting?
@@DesignPilot after uploading it in medium
What’s the final resolution of the image after exporting?
what happens if we upload an 8k image? will it over-compress it to below 1080p?
