The chinese stolen mostly from Siemens. Siemens was asked to write the software because the chinese couldnt do that and Siemens saw a lot of their stuff.😅 This is a rumour that I heard from a german rail company.
13:10 That's true. Ten years ago, the Indonesian train was awful. You could sit on the top of the train illegally, it was dirty, hot, people sat on the floor, and even slept. But now, they are clean, have air conditioning, the seat is comfortable, and there are strict rules like no smoking, no weapons, no sitting on the floor, no disturbing, no loud, and they had security in the train, etc.
China's infrastructure construction ability is trustworthy. The Indonesian government has a great vision and made the right choice. Also, congratulations to the people of Indonesia for having the most advanced and convenient high-speed rail system in the world.
Thank you for your positive feedback! Indonesia's investment in infrastructure will bring great benefits to the country, and China's expertise in manufacturing trains will surely contribute to the success of the project. Exciting times ahead for both countries!
High-speed rail has the potential to revolutionize the way we travel, offering faster and more sustainable transport options while easing congestion on roads and reducing the environmental impact of traditional forms of transportation. It would help create a more interconnected and efficient transportation network, benefiting both passengers and the environment.
There are many iconic names for high speed services. Be it Shinkansen, TGV, ICE, AVE, and so on. But for some reason, I think "Whoosh" is just wonderful, and this video is the first time I've heard of it. What a simple yet effective name to market your high speed trains. I love it.
Shinkansen means "new trunk railway line" in Japanese, and it doesn't mean high-speed railway completely, but because the world's first high-speed railway is called Shinkansen, many people call it so, so it is the most appropriate to call it high-speed railway.
this very first HSR in Indonesia was 100% built by China. it has nothing to do with japan and other country. also the first 350km/h train outside China. workmanship is fantastic. congratulations to Indonesia ❤️
Indonesia bulet train top speed 350 km/h.usualy jakarta to bandung city 3 or 4 hours. Very tired. But by high speed railway only 45 minuts, very fast and smooth nice. This is the first in southeast, southern hemisphere and Oceania, amazing
@gethinhooper3671225mph is faster than the majority of HSR systems in the world to be fair, only China really has trains regularly exceeding this speed
Don't get me started, we should have half a dozen lines hitting 180mph+ by now, time between Edinburgh and London should be competitive with flying and smash driving times, currently train to anywhere works out about the same as driving unless you are going just from London to somewhere.
@gethinhooper3671 Agree totally, what really erks me is that way back, we gave the whole world trains, Africa, India and many other county's ran trains built by the British, now we are the laughing stock of the world, HS2 will, I fear be a disgrace to us all.

So they have the fastest train in the world, which also looks fabulous... and then they call it 'Whoosh'. 🙂 You have to admit that it's actually a great name. They could have called it 'Red Dragon' or 'Star of the South', but no, 'Whoosh'. I applaud them for it, I really do. The seats are probably upright in order to be able to turn them around at the end of the journey. It is a bit surprising to see high-speed rail in Indonesia, and not just any high-speed rail, but highest-speed rail. But it makes sense. There are probably few places as suitable for high-speed rail as Java: it's large (one of the largest islands in the world), but also densely populated, with potentially tens of millions of passengers.
The high speed is possible because of all new track work that barely has curves, and the typical Chinese reckless engineering on the trains. Japan is using tracks from the 60s, so it’s pushing the limits, the ALFA-X managed to get over 400km/h. The Indonesian high speed rail contract is supposed to go to the Japanese until a new china aligned president came along and instantly gave the contract to China under the predatory Belt and Road initiative because of lower prices or simply bribery.
@@Re0nsbribery accusation is extreme bullshit.Actually this line is an xtreme engineering. Jakarta is a swamp and bandung is mountainous This is highest speed train that climb uphill.
@@Yusef-uh4wl the CCP managed to make a spy the mayor of a filipino town. Bribery is much easier. This is a level of high-speed rail with a maximum design speed of 400. It does not mean the faster the better. The operating cost must also be considered. 350 is the most economical consideration for operating costs.
Yeah so? before you'll say "THE CHINESE WILL PUT A MASSIVE DEBT TO INDONESIA AND THEY CAN'T PAY IT BACK", Homie we're part of G20, we can pay it back easily

Gunakan akal sehat anda. Apakah anda takut kami akan mengejar PDB Anda?? Sangat lucu bukan.
Wheelchair remark. My wife is lesser-abled, requiring a wheelchair for some journeys. As she is still able to walk, getting into a seat is not an issue. Finding a secure space to store a folded wheelchair on a train can be an issue. Worst case; the wheelchair takes up two additional seats. As someone who has often accompanied a lesser abled person on a train, I would have appreciated the wheelchair storage option as shown to be present on this train. Having said that, I'd fully agree this is a niche situation. So should be a nice addition to disabled seating and storage for bikes/ strollers.
About the storage for bike, the train is a Chinese product. Since China has share bikes everywhere for minimal cost, storage for bike is not really in their mind when designing.
W = waktu H = hemat O = operasional O = optimal S = system H = Hemat " Waktu hemat opersional optimal sistem hemat " Optimal saving system operational time.
You can't take a 350KM/H high-speed train in Japan, because the maximum operating speed of Japan's high-speed train is 320KM/H. Currently, you can only take a 350KM/H high-speed train in China and Indonesia. In the second half of this year, China will operate the new Fuxinghao high-speed train CR450 at 400KM/H.
China newer maglev trains could go at a faster speed of 630 kph but due to govt. safety regulations, the max speed is limited to 605 or less in urban areas while in actual operation.
I've heard about this will be extend to surabaya even to bali denpasar via bali straits with under sea tunnel in the future and almost 1500km length 😮 ... good luck whoosh Indonesia 🎉
I doubt that as an Indonesian... There's rejection from the Balinese that stated Bali and Java shall not be connected by any form. This stem from traditions and history between the two, I think.
it won’t connect to the island of bali. the balinese provincial government strongly rejects any kind of connection from the java island for a cultural reason since the independence. that’s why no bridge or tunnel ever build over the java to bali while it’s just a short distance.
I like the POV how you captured every detail in this video. The video is quite stable, and it doesn't make my eyes tired to keep watching your video until the end.
The trains do look very impressive & everywhere else in the world is putting the UK to shame. We once built the railways of the world, now we can't manage a line to Manchester from London. How embarrassing.
It's great to see Fuxing trains in other parts of the world (and Indoneisa have done a pretty good paint job too!) Edit: Chinese HSR always has super good legroom, nice to see that carries over lol
The Fuxing almost has to have at least this amount of leg room, because every seat needs to be able to pivot 180 degrees to face the other way when the train reaches the destination. Any less leg room and there will not be enough space for the whole seat to rotate.
you sounded so happy when you said "everyone wanted to take a picture, including ME"😂really cool that you could right that, the fastest traditional train (on iron rails) just sad it's like spain's high speed rail, with an airport like security, if no one is there, it'll take a minute, if thousands of people are there, it's not a minute, but a lot of fun
Even before the operational of this new high speed train, conventional train already become a popular choice among commuters between Jakarta and Bandung. Yes, there is a lot of commuters, mainly weekly commuting, from Bandung to Jakarta. Although the popularity of the train is decreasing since the opening of the highway, it still become an alternative choice as the highway are now often get traffic jam. Three hours is like the fastest driver can get from Jakarta to Bandung while the traffic time can be more longer as 5 hours just for around 150km trip. Anyway, thank you for making this video and congratulation for your trip in Indonesia. I hope you had an amazing trip here.
lol though the train are built in China and same to CR400AF. The naming system of seat level is totally different. In Chinese HSR, Bussiness seat is the top level(2+1 layout or even 1+1 layout in some new CR400AFZ/BFZ series), First class seat is the second level (2+2 layout) and second class is the worst(2+3 layout)

China will be glad to help. If UK government is all for Uk peoples interest instead of some unrelated racial or ideological fantasy, you can have it in less than a year.
China used to cooperate with the UK to build a communication network, which could enable the UK to improve to 5G communication! This project is a collaboration between Huawei China and the UK, but during its implementation, the UK government stopped the project, which is why your subway still has no signal! The fundamental reason is that the United States does not allow cooperation between the UK and China on 5G and railway projects!
Helloo, I'm a university student currently studying in Bandung, but whose home is in Jakarta. My personal experience with Whoosh has always been great, especially when I'm staying in Jakarta but have a morning class the next day. Though I sometimes do prefer other methods of transport, like the regular narrow-gauge train or shuttle buses, due to their cheaper price and better locations. The Whoosh Stations IMO aren't in the best locations for where I am going, because of my house being in Central Jakarta and my current campus being at the edge of Bandung (From the Whoosh station I have to take village roads that aren't well maintained).
I think KCIC is a better choice for Unpad students, since the Argo Parahyangan only stops at Bandung station. Tegal Luar station is closer to Jatinangor, right?
@HarD4545 It is, but the access roads aren't that good. It still takes around 40ish minutes to reach Nangor from Tegalluar Station depending on traffic
Yeah, the system is built with the chinese approach which often favours far out of town stations. An extension of the system into central Jakarta with a new station in the central area would be very welcome. Kota station would be a good candidate as you could probably build new platforms for the Whoosh trains above the existing platforms fairly easily.

Glad you popped up with this video - I was off visiting my folks in Indonesia 2 weeks ago and was just super impressed with the massive infrastructure development that's happened in the 5years since I last set foot in Indo. The woosh journey time is seriously impressive when you consider that a stint on Argo Gede or Parahyangan would have taken 3 hours from Gambir to Bandung. You would have got some awesome scenic views as you snake around beyond Purwakarta. I'd say that an equally impressive engineering feat is the main Jakarta - Cikampek elevated toll road that clocks in past Bekasi - your train would have ran parallel to it. I remember ridiculously long journeys queueing up at Bekasi Barat Toll Plaza, whereas now it's seamless. Given that Bandung is the capital of Jawa Barat and has the sceond largest economy in Indonesia, it makes sense to have Woosh running between the two cities. I've also learnt that where my brother lives in Bandung, towarrds the north, it's villa and resort central. Consequently, Jakartans love to play in Bandung in the weekend for a cooler retreat. Let the train take the strain. I doubt the same can be said with Brummies spending a weekend in London only to get mugged for £7.50 a pint. As an aside, did you manage to take the Panoramic Train from Discount Reading station (by which I mean Bandung - the concourse feels surprisingly familiar) to Surabaya/Jogja? Well worth the £60 for the views and service. Quite enjoyed having breakfast whilst watching John Wick 4 - You won't get that on the 7.38 Gloucester to Paddington service!

7:00 just to let you know, you are probably already outside of Jakarta, but its metro area spans much farther, with over 20 million extra people surrounding Jakarta's 10 million.
The styling of the Indonesian version of the train is just so much better than the domestic version in China, especially the business class seats. The seats are wrapped in that premium amber leather and have all the fancy contours and stuff, while their Chinese counterparts are in boring plain cloth like the economy class just a bit wider. The two tone first class seats looks sick AF.
Ok, so Indonesian HSR now has airport style pre-flight security check and semi-airport style registration check. Soon enough HSR around the world will have the same security theatre commercial aviation has.
Are these new AVE trains based on a Talgo design ? If so it's because Talgo has a different suspension design which is simpler than that found on a conventional high-speed train.
Keep in mind that Asian HSTs use completely detached and different railway systems than conventional trains, while in Europe the HSTs often share tracks with their slower counterparts

As an Indonesian just wants to remind you about the political foreign policy of the EU and USA which has been going in the wrong direction. We don't blame its citizens, but their government has chosen unhealthy rivalries between countries in the world in colonial era, even after World World II ended. Why do I say that, because political foreign policy is based on supremacy, not on mutually beneficial collaboration and cooperation for mutual progress and benefit. Often that country's foreign policy will weaken other countries to appear advanced, that is not the right way. There is some evidence that the EU & USA are still competing to create modern and deadly war equipment, what's the point? Warfare industries that impoverish and burden their people with huge investments for all that? Indonesia has the principle and foreign policy of "zero enemy", and mutual cooperation is mutually beneficial. This era is no longer the era of conquest or the like, we must realize that prosperity can be achieved with collective peace for economic progress, no longer supremacy with physical warfare which also seems strange in nowaday era of humanity enforcement.

Hi. In 2018 I travelled on China's high-speed train between Tianjin and Beijing. We reached a maximum speed of 347kph (now that's six years ago!). I would put the 3kph difference down to several possible reasons: six years of improved technology; geography (Tianjin to Beijing is 30 minutes and 116km by train); and operating conditions.

This video was taken before the official launch? It has been 7 months ago since the official launch of this Indonesia's first high-speed train. What happened that took you so long to upload this video? 😭 There are already so many improvements right now. Environments around the Halim station, Padalarang station, Tegalluar station, and around the railways are not dry anymore. It's greener, more plants, clean, and no more burned grass. And many new restaurants are opened in those stations. When you record this video, it's Dry season in Indonesia. Actually, that's not a forest fire. It just a burned dry grass caused by the locals and farmers who eliminate trash or straws from rice fields and crop lands by burning them. Although sometimes wild fire can happened in some areas in Indonesia during Dry season, it's rarely happened on Western Java. Sorry for our rural people 🙏. They just haven't know, because it's the first time a railway is build in their area. That burning trash and straws from rice fields and crop lands during Dry season activity is somewhat common in rural areas in Indonesia. But any burning trash and straws from rice fields and crop lands activities that close to high-speed train railways and other railways in Indonesia are already Banned by Indonesian Railway Transport Company (PT. KAI). Today, it's Rain season in Indonesia and everything are turned Green by Rain season on Indonesian land especially the mountains and the hills that close to the Indonesian high-speed train railways are also green now. Looks like it similar with Spring season in 4 seasons countries but this is the equatorial version. 😅 I hope when you come back to Indonesia, it's between March and May when the rain is not so heavy. At the peak of Rain season in Indonesia (November or December to February), the rain can be so heavy and longer. 😊 The Rain season in Indonesia is between September to May or June. The season change can be different in each Indonesian region because it's according to Indonesia's geography, the monsoon, the wind, El Nino, La Nina, etc. Indonesian regions like Sumatra, Borneo, Western Java (Including Jakarta and Bandung), Riau Islands, Northern Sulawesi, Maluku Archipelago, and Papua has more high rainfalls, heavier rain, and mostly those Indonesian regions experience longer Rain season. Meanwhile Rain season in Southeast Indonesia (Nusa Tenggara Archipelago) like Lombok Island, Komodo Islands, Flores, Sumba, Sumbawa, and Timor Island has shorter Rain season and longer Dry season because it's closer to Australia continent and get more hot/warm air and dry wind from Australian desert. That's why so many Savannahs and grass lands in Southeast Indonesia, and some parts of Bali Island and Eastern Java. 🙂
Great investment by Indonesia! And of course congrats to China to export their fantastic trains and infrastructure capabilities.

Built by China
China's infrastructure construction ability is trustworthy. The Indonesian government has a great vision and made the right choice. Also, congratulations to the people of Indonesia for having the most advanced and convenient high-speed rail system in the world.
The Chinese offered significant financial concessions in order to secure this project.

I love it.
it's also short for "Waktu Hemat, Operasi Optimal, Sistem Hebat" = Timesaving, Optimal Operation, Outstanding System.

Really cool to see Indonesia's got HSR now. The UK really needs to get its act together and bring HSR over here!
You might have heard of this little project called HS2. Although probably not because it's never been in the news :D
@gethinhooper3671225mph is faster than the majority of HSR systems in the world to be fair, only China really has trains regularly exceeding this speed
If only the UK asked China to build it like Indonesia did
Don't get me started, we should have half a dozen lines hitting 180mph+ by now, time between Edinburgh and London should be competitive with flying and smash driving times, currently train to anywhere works out about the same as driving unless you are going just from London to somewhere.

The fastest are currently at China. 380km/h operation speed.

There's a storage, and you can ask the staff for help to store it in this train
About the storage for bike, the train is a Chinese product. Since China has share bikes everywhere for minimal cost, storage for bike is not really in their mind when designing.

China already has line operate at 380km/h

There's a local belief in Bali saying that Java and Bali should not be connected as it would brings bad lucks and destruction to the island of Bali.
it won’t connect to the island of bali. the balinese provincial government strongly rejects any kind of connection from the java island for a cultural reason since the independence. that’s why no bridge or tunnel ever build over the java to bali while it’s just a short distance.

It is great because those who decide to visit Jakarta will finally have no excuses not to visit Bandung, seriously cool city, can't wait for them to develop the line further as the other big city's are worth visiting too, and honestly if you catch the older style trains you will still enjoy a decent to good level of comfort, now if only the rest of Indonesia had an amazing rail network like Java, but hey it's a good start.
Mantap jiwa bro, selamat datang di Indonesia,,
Indonesians are commonly have this cleanliness perk and being tidy is well valued. Not letting things hanging around will keep the view sleek, clean, classy.
terima kasih sudah review kereta cepat di Indonesia 🙏🇮🇩
Jakarta-Cikarang!
Absolutely amazing coverage of the Indonesian Fast Train, thorough and very dense coverage, and perhaps a few comments on the final picture (comparison) with the Indonesian trains of an earlier era, that is rather not 10 years ago but 15 years ago, because 10 years ago The condition is much better than in the picture (transformation has started) but a little mistake is not too big a problem, thank you very much
Thanks a lot! It sure has been a fast upgrade though. :)
syukurlah ada yang mengingatkan soal ini. yup, 10 years ago it's already much better than shown on that picture. 15 years, maybe. but not 10.
Errr it might as well be Chinese as it mostly is! Its ALL provided, made, constructed, planned by the Chinese.... with Indonesian permission, cooperation and workers.... its integral to the BRI..... I believe the fastest trains are still in China obviously..... Carl Zha, a Chinese history geopolitics commentator also lives in Indonesia I believe
Yahh like the one in uk also made in germany, in italy are made in canada and the one in netherland are made in france. So whats the problem if we "buy" the tech that china has?
@@dharmapratama.i9487 don't mind the commenter. it's no problem at all. eventually, you guys will reverse-engineer and make the trains by yourselves in the future. im impressed with indonesia right now.
Your exploring of Indonesia technology is very interesting for me.
Waiting your next video
Thanks for the review. Commenting for the algorithm
Thank you so much! 😅
This Guy is special in Train, but never been to China, which is longest high speed rail than the rest of world combined.
😂😂😂
Abdi ti Bandung, hatur nuhun tos nyobian numpak "whoosh"👍♥️🇲🇨
Thanks for watching! :)
two facts made this rail unique and splendid:
1. It is the first ever (and the only so far) true high speed rail in the southern hemisphere of the world, and
2. It has the fastest operation speed (350 km/h) in constant commercial opearation around the world, together with China
they only achieve 350km/h on certain areas, the normal operating speed around 320-330km/h
@@snusunnope..
Actually 350 is every operational..
You can check it on PT KCIC records..
They also record high speed around 385 km/hour which is record by Guinness book for fastest trarn in southern Hampshire
@@rambo10101 look who doesnt know southern Hemisphire
@@anandasyahendar7293 if you ever rode it, they had the sign above to show their true speed. they only reach 350 at certain areas, most notable leaving padalarang to karawang. closing to the city they only reach around 320km/h

Cause too many imigrants in UK

I recomended You to go to Sawahlunto Small City in West Sumatra, Surakarta City In Central Java & Ambarawa Town In Central Java. We have a collection of several steam locomotives there which are still operating for tourist trains in Indonesia. Loco B25 of 1902 is in Ambarawa. Loco C12 in 1892 & Loco D14 in 1921 are in the city of Surakarta. loco E10 "Mak itam" 1965 in Sawahlunto.
Asian always getting more futuristic:📈
Meanwhile in Europe and America:📉 Homeless and crime everywhere and more often
So sad
too many immigrant :(
welcome here to travel ,best greeting from China

The staff are doing exactly the same as their Chinese "teachers" do in China - tuck all luggages in that stretch out of the overhead rack, to prevent any slight changes of them dropping on people's heads...
Chinesan
Hi. In 2018 I travelled on China's high-speed train between Tianjin and Beijing. We reached a maximum speed of 347kph (now that's six years ago!). I would put the 3kph difference down to several possible reasons: six years of improved technology; geography (Tianjin to Beijing is 30 minutes and 116km by train); and operating conditions.
you are so great, god bless you in Indonesia
😍😍😍
As a Chinese, I am very glad that our cooperation with local people has brought convenience to their lives. I hope that the lives of Indonesian people will get better and better, just like what we wrote in Tiananmen Square: Long live the great unity of the people of the world!
Really, we here in Indonesia got to thank Mr. Ignatius Jonan for his efforts to not only modernizing the infrastructure but also the mindset of the average indonesian. Our trains were once looked like pakistani/bangladeshi train, but now we come so far ahead, even beating countries such as the united states in terms of high speed rail games. And also credits to our most wonderful president Mr. Joko Widodo who not only envisioned things for better indonesia but also actually do it. We now, i believe on a very start of an economic boom, expected to be the 5th largest economy in the entire planet. Our journey is long and arduous, we come from one of the poorest as well as most corrupt country in the world to now one of the biggest economy. This train not only stand as a mode of transport but also a monument of the success of the indonesian people, working very hard to achieve this wonderful milestone. To say I'm proud of my country will be an understatement. Good job Indonesia... and terima kasih bapak jokowi....
You are so confident.😅
Aga norak ya bg, legian ga ush nybut merk ngara laen utk muji ngra sndiri

Looks amazing. I have never been to Indonesia. The only country where I have travelled really extensively long distance by train is Japan.
Indonesia is not only Bali, the famous paradise island in the world, but there are more than 17.000 island with white sand and coconut trees and high tide for surfing, diving and temples, rice field terraces, tropical rain forest with orangutans/monkeys, Borobudur&Prambanan temples in Java, Snowy mountain in west Papua, Beach clubs in Bali, etc
Built by China❤
china is the only country that would share their technology with other countries and make asia even better
Looks really impressive. Thanks for posting an honest video about this.
As an Indonesian citizen, I initially had the impression that our high-speed rail (HSR) would be comparable in speed to those in China and other nations. However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that China's involvement in the project has resulted in an HSR system that surpasses my initial expectations.
I don't know what you guys think of your president but at least he's doing well juggling China and the US. Here in the Philippines, our president is keenly on the US' side and it's such a lazy move.
Took the train to Surabaya some years ago. Three hours would be great.
Impressive coin demo. Livery reminscent of Tren Italia's Spanish entry...
Nice train! hope it brings you all to a brighter future.
My country is powerful😊
The Rain season in Indonesia is between September to May or June.
