Great video. Very well detailed.
What would cause the fan to the fridge to run funny for 3 seconds and off for three seconds cyclically till it reaches the set temp instead of continuously then shut off? Is it this control or something else? Similar model.
My refrigerator section is freezing. The freezer section is freezing as expected. I have not checked the temperature in the freezer. When I turn the refrigerator thermostat off & on, I can hear the vent opening/closing. This at least tells me the switch is getting power.
Is it possible to remove the two thermostats, and check continuity on both thermostats, then assuming they both display continuity, follow up by swapping both thermostats with each other to see if the freezer thermostat resolves the refrigerator problem?
Can the thermostat be opened and the rheostat cleaned for reassembly and testing?
At best, I'm dealing with $209 (internet prices not including shipping) for a part that I'm not sure will fix the problem.
I forgot to mention that I've cleaned the coils as well as entire underside near the compressor. I've been doing this about once a year for many years.
SImple????? Surely you're joking!
