I love them all, the hay bale is my favorite 😍 Thank you for sharing ❤
I’m so glad you liked them! Thanks for watching and sharing your favorite! 😊👍
Loved seeing how you finished the hay bale picture in just about real time - thank you. One day I'll have the courage to sketch along with you 🙂 I loved the pond - how you made the water look realistic.
Thanks! Glad you liked the real time look. I was hoping it would give the general idea of what all goes into finishing everything without being too boring to watch. The layering process can be very repetitive. Thanks for sharing your favorite! You should give it a go sometime for sure! 😊👍
Love the pond and hay bale best
Thanks for sharing your favorites! I love the pond too! It really came together nicely. The hay bale makes me want to go paint it on canvas. I might have to come up with a painting idea to include a hay bale for sure! Thanks for watching! 😊👍
I love your format! It is so fun to draw along and hear your thought process. Incredibly helpful. Thank you for sharing.
You’re very welcome! I’m so glad you enjoyed the process! Thanks for sharing your feedback! 😊👍
Wow I have to say your picture subject are amazing. Will watch again and paint along 👍🏼
I loved the 4th photo (mountain) the most but the 3rd (lake & lilies) drawing really drew my eye in terms of how much life you’ve put in there, especially compared to the reference photos. But I loved them all really
Thanks for sharing your favorites! I agree! Something about the lake drawing is almost 3D. Glad you enjoyed them! 😊👍
Wow! Thank you for letting us see one in real time! This definitely helps me see the layering process! And it looks like ur able to ho right in over wet with more crayon where needed & it looks awesome! My fav is the last pic! The logs just pop and the house turned out great. Love the highlights!
You’re very welcome! I’m glad real time clips helped! The only thing is, you have to let the layers dry before drawing more on top. Otherwise the new marks won’t look or activate the same way when more water is added. Thanks for sharing your favorite! I agree, the logs really make it pop! 😊👍
I love these types of videos! I followed through along in all of your timed warmup sketches. Thank you so much for making these!❤
Thanks for sketching with me! I’m so glad you’re enjoying them! I love doing too!! I will definitely keep them coming! 😊👍
These turned out beautifully! ❤❤❤
I think these are the best ones to date…they’re really good. You’re definitely getting better.
Might be a fun challenge to move to something bigger and do a like a 5 minute sketch.
Thanks for sharing. I don’t have a favorite on this one, that’s how good they turned out.
Thanks so much! I feel like you read my mind!! I can definitely see the progress I’ve made from doing these timed drawings and I think I will definitely be doing something bigger soon but still use a timer in some way. I love that idea! 😊👍
I loved everyone. Thanks for this great video. I didn‘t make it with you, but I‘ll try them. Maybe with 5 minutes steady 2 minutes 😊.
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy giving it a try! 5 minutes is still a great way to start sketching! 😊👍
I just discovered your sketchbook warm ups. These are so helpful! Thank you!
You are so awesome. They are all so good but I like the hay, and logs with house. I going to replay and try to do it with you. 😀
Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy sketching along! It’s not easy, but it’s a lot of fun! 😊👍
These are always so fun to do along with you. I’m always surprised mine are at least some what recognizable! Your final versions are impressive!
Thanks! I’m so glad you enjoy doing them with me! I surprise myself too! 😊👍
Gosh, you make me want to invest in some of these. You make it look so interesting, great job with these.
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! I got them as a gift! I’m so glad I put them on my wish list last year so I could try them out! 😊👍
I loved your hay bale picture the most, and I enjoyed drawing the log reference the most. Thanks for these videos; they're really helping me get back into a consistent art practice. :)
That’s so great to hear! I’m glad they are helping you! Thanks for sharing your favorite and sketching along! More to come! 😊👍
❤❤❤ Aww one of my favorite videos!!! ❤❤❤ Sadly, I got the notification too late at night and can't play now! But tomorrow, right after work, I'm sooo doing this!!!
😊❤😊
Sorry about the late notification. It will be here waiting for you! Gives you something to look forward to later! I hope you enjoy! ❤️😊👍
Great job! They’re all amazing. Hay bale one is my fav - especially like the wood posts and barb wire for some reason in this one.
Now I have to order some supplies. 😉
Thanks for sharing your favorite! I like how the posts and barb wire turned out also! Glad you enjoyed them! 😊👍
Still really enjoying the videos, keep them coming!
Also, I think you sold me on water soluble pastels. I’m really interested in painting and want to do watercolor, but I am finding it a challenge to learn color and the fluid at the same time.
I think this would be a fast and easy way to paint a lot of volume and discover color harmonies I would like to see in my paintings.
Im so glad you’re enjoying them! More to come! I honestly think the Neocolor IIs have been a game changer for me personally. Like you said, they allow you to work and learn faster and easier. Water brush pens are super helpful too! Once you learn how to control the amount of water you need. I hope you enjoy using them as much as I do! 😊👍
Palm trees seem like a good 1 minute sketch! 👍 You do such a great job at bringing these to life! 🤗
Thanks so much! A 1 minute sketch would be a real challenge, but I’m sure it would be super fun to try! 😊👍
@@artbyheather It is a prompt in one of Moriah Elizabeth's Create this Books. I keep looking for things a novice could do!! 🤣 You are so welcome!! 🤗
So awesome! I loved the bail of hay! It's amazing how it comes together from a crayon drawing to a beautiful painting :) I'm going to have to buy those water pastels!
Thanks so much! I love how the hay bail turned out too! The Neocolors are super addicting to use! They also make me want to try oil pastels for some reason. Thanks for sharing your favorite! 😊👍
I love the beach, and I like the other three as well! Ironically, I think the hay bale was my least favorite lol😂
Thanks for sharing your favorites! That’s perfect! Everyone has their own personal taste. That’s what makes everything more interesting! 😊👍
Thank you for taking the time to record, edit, and post your process! Your videos are always fun and inspiring. After the initial, quick 2 minute warm up sketch how much time do you take to finish each sketch? And do you sit down and do them all at once, or do you give yourself a couple days? Just curious how you go about this. I’d like to start using my neocolors on a regular basis like. Thank you ❤️
You’re very welcome! The time spent finishing each page varies. I’d say 30 min each on average, not counting the drying times. Usually I do as much as I can the same day, but I take several breaks in between layering with water because it needs to dry before I can continue to add layers on top. Sometimes I finish a few the next day if I get busy with other things or run out of energy. I really enjoy using the Neocolors, so most of it is done the same day. I’m sure if I wasn’t filming it would take significantly less time. I hope you enjoy using the Neocolors! I’m quite addicted to them myself! 😊👍
I love the hay bale painting and the house with the logs! Beautiful work! ❤❤
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊👍
