We had a 51 or 52 only difference it didn’t have the 5 window. Years ago I used to go down in the woods and play on it. Can’t wait til you get this ole truck rolling!
The day I get to drive the old truck will definitely be a good day. But for now I’m looking forward to hearing the engine run for the first time. Thank you for the comment!
Hey Gary, you have a nice project there. I have a 53, 3/4 ton Dodge in my shop needing brakes and some other items which I hope to get to this winter. Just a note here regarding the green paint. Without having my color charts in front of me I don't know if Dodge offered a straight green cab. I do know that they offered a "Spring Special" which was a two tone green paint job. Those are considered rare and you may want to replicate it? I'll bookmark and monitor this post if I can be of help?
I believe they did make a straight green cab but I might be wrong. Honestly, when I bought the truck I had every intention to turn it into a rat rod but the more I looked at it I didn’t have the heart to do that to the truck. My plan is to get it back to original as possible and enjoy it. I appreciate your comment and offer to help in the process!
I was not aware of Auto Color Library and I’ll definitely check them out. The 53 Pilothouse will be a nice looking truck with that green paint. Thank you!

You are doing a great job. I've done several of the pilot house truck rebuilds and am enjoying watching you progress.

dude... I'm painting my 53 pilothouse that green. Auto Color Library makes the original color single stage paint.

Probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do.
