I am 69 this year ad riding a 2021 Tuono Factory. I am 5'9" and find the Tuono very comfortable for touring. The seat s quite cushy versus my old Triumph Street Triple 765R and versus KTM 890R . I added a Hepco & Becker rear luggage plate that replaces the pillion set or fin. I have different bags I can put on the rear plate so it is very adaptable for different lengths of trips this way. I also have heated grips installed which helps broaden my season and for high mountain passes. I put on about 15,000 km per year, no problem. There is adequate fairing to make high speeds on major highways and the cruise control round out me needs. I have never tried a Tracer but appreciate your info regarding that bike as well.

Sounds like you have a great setup. Curious what windscreen you're using because the wine bufetting is what I don't like about mine. I use the Power Bronze screen.

I have enjoyed your posts and value your opinion. I have 20 years riding the BC roads on vfrs, sv1000, ninja1000sx and a trick vtr1000f which is my favorite to date. I am torn between a bmw1250rs or new standard tuono. Based on your experience and my bike list which would you recommend I try first. Rarely a passenger, weekend trips, BC roads, not a racer but like fast pace and sweepers.

If you like the twisties as much as me, then you should definitely try the Tuono. I've had over 18 different motorcycles and this is my favorite motorcycle so far. My only knock on it is the lack of wind protection and also cramped position if you're a tall guy. If that is the case the 1250RS will fit you better. I like my 1200RS very much also and surprised how nimble it is. You can see my review here as a sports tourer. ua-cam.com/video/9ws9otAJM44/v-deo.html
