This is more so a preview than the real thing, I decided last minute that I wanted to bring it to life with voices as this will be a depiction of their first argument. I don't feel it'll be relayed enough through speech bubbles, so look forward to the longer DUBBED version!

Oh! It could be something similar between what happened to sonic and tails in the show
Sonic thought he was to blame for tails getting hurt so he went looking for a different partner, when in reality tails didn’t mind and was just happy to be with sonic
Maybe for sonic and Amy sonic wants to protect her (more so do to they’re relationship) so he tends to over do it when they’re in battle. Amy at first didn’t mind ,heck she found it endearing but eventually she couldn’t get any swings in because sonic is doing it all, over working himself even
She brings it up and tells him to stop and they get into it
