- @harleydavidson Road Glide "Level 1" Upgrades Episode 2 - Rear Lighting I've always said that Street Glides and Road Glides need more lighting on the rear from the factory, and today we're gonna fix that with a boatload of Custom Dynamics Lighting for the rear end of the new project bike. We're going to add the new color changing rear tail lights, the tri-bar upgrade light, and the light strips for the saddlebags, then we're topping it all off with a strobe module. I am now confident I won't be missed by the cagers. Thanks a ton to Custom Dynamics for providing all this new get up!

Is it just me or did the audio cut out at around the five min mark?
Yes, it did. Came back about 7min. Then went out for maybe a minute or less and came back later on in the video. Don't think we missed too much.

Looks good Monkey! I just got my CD’ lights delivered today and can’t remember which ones I ordered, lol! I’m at work and shows delivered, surprise when I get home. I like those but I think I ordered the ones that stay red. Enjoy!

Nice video. Clears up some questions I had on all the lights that were put on the bike I had bought used. Now I “get” the plug and play.
The bars on the bags make you stick out and be visible withiut being goofy looking😊 its a nice clean way to make yourself noticeable
Awesome looking lights. So important to be seen. The signals changing to orange really helps along with the strobe flash on the brake. Glitch in the one part with no sound.
I love the exhaust tips. I'm sure that somewhere in my stable I have at least one bike they fit. I need some contact information so I can see what else I can't live without...lol. The lighting will have to come after the sound.

Plasma Rods would be a great addition as well. They're one of my favorite additions to mine as well as the Ciro3D Crown light. Custom Dynamics antenna plugz and the bag blades. And of course the swapping out the stock bulbs for LEDs.

Well, just got the word that maybe I'll be able to meet up in Daytona. Got my hall pass and friends have room so I'll be there. The turn signals from Custom Dynamics have been my first mod on my last 3 bikes. I'm a firm believer. I had not seen the tri-bar upgrade. I'll be taking a look and see about those. I wasn't too bothered by the stock pipes on my 19 RGS but you've got me wanting the upgrade now, lol. I knew better than to start watching your channel, lol. See ya in a couple weeks!
Use a velcro strap on the front brake handle to show the brake lights... Great video!
I like the bag lights, I think it would be cool to run like three of them stacked on each side.

2020 NHTSA motorcycle crash data reports that in two-vehicle crashes, 76 percent of the motorcycles involved in fatal crashes were struck in the front. Only 7 percent were struck in the rear. Focus on your front end visibility.

Stock air cleaner hates rain on the 15 Rushmore so went with Screamin eagle.. Will get the factory tune so will not get any guff from warranty..
The bag blades are sharp.
Love those exhaust tips! Currently mulling over keeping the 2 1 2 or going with a 2 into 1.
2 into 1 will give you better performance.
You should do ur bars with chrome powder coat. A good power coater can make it look just like chrome with a 2 step process which includes a high gloss clear.

If you want to show the brake light put a zip tie on the front brake lever. Was wondering why you didn't get the bag lights that wrap around the side. Looks great
Or you could use a tripod for the camera and operate the brakes manually!
Thanks for your videos they have been a real help every since I had a stroke. I might lose my bike because of being off work and the loan insurance only pays a little but I do like your videos they lift me

I needed to upgrade the lighting on my 17 deluxe. After watching this I went and bought myself some leds and the flasher setup for my bike. Thanks again for making these videos. Your right lighting should be upgraded first thing 🤙🏽
I did the same with my 22 RG Standard. Check out the license plate lights too. It removes those turn signals and places them on the side of the license plate. Really bright and a clean look on the stock fender. Great video! Love your channel! Keep up the good work!
💯 agree. LED headlight and taillight probably the best mod I've done to my bike. Both are HD brand, but soooooo much better than stock 09 Sportster lights.

Thats the set up I have. except I also have the Plug lights that replace where the rubber plugs are for the antenna and the blank. Mt Tri Bar Light Came with the smart triple play to turn it into a brake run light

Get an adjustable piece of Velco to pull your break lever back so you don't have to hold it while demonstrating or to see if your break lights work while you are by yourself.

I use a zip tie when checking my brake lights or signal when diagnosing.
Good video One of my bikes is a trike a 21 and I know your dad has a 20. I installed tail lights from Eagle Lights. They flash brakes 3 times no strobe under seat built in. Just plug and play. They are great! You probably know this already but just saying.
I did the triple play harness (FLHTP is not BCM flashed for run/brake, and most Harley dealers don't know how to do that) to get the strobe, low laying tail light with turn signals, and LED inserts for the bullets. Low laying license plate frame under the tail light with LED lights rounds it out. That's it! Don't want the bike to look like a ride at Disney. The strobe is so aggressive, cagers see it and stay away from my ass afterwards 🤣
I might entertain the new Advanblack saddlebag wrap around as that gives additional side visibility. Maybe ...

What’s your thoughts on Advanblack’s bag lites wrap around the side ? They seem a better option for lite on side then the latch lites

With all do respect to the ballers in here, for those that can’t afford the custom dynamic taillights Amazon sells led two tone alternatives for around 15 dollars, I mean it’s not lifetime guarantee but beats the he’ll out of incandescent bulbs. I run them I’ve had them for two years and so far so good. That way I don’t have to feed the kids ramen noodles for two months. Just saying. 😂

??? Have you changed out the tail lights on your Dad's trike. I need more lights on the back of my Freewheeler. Was going to see about a couple of things this month but got the bill for renewal of my trucks tag in the mail today. AZ keeps going up on tags it seem. My truck is a 2016 and still around $380 for a year. Next month is my trike tag. Be safe,Ride safe and enjoy life.

I never knew what a stock Harley sounded like.... Eventually the E.P.A may require a stock exhaust for registration to ride on the street...I see a big fight coming. 🙃

Since I added a strobe for my brake lights I've yet to have any car get near the back of my bike when braking. I have my set to seziure mode! lol
A fellow rider had those and I got stuck behind him on a long ride when they glitched and stayed flashing the entire ride. 😵💫

Only thing is the loss of sound . On mine 99 ultra I put the tour pack and bag spoiler lights on .

Just started the video and want to comment on what you said I currently do not have a motorcycle because I was rear-ended in October had to have surgery on my hand twice bike was totaled and it was a hit and run. Maybe more lighting would have helped that.
How about getting a tripod so we can witness some of that world renouned garage yoga

Nice lights. Did you replace the side reflectors on the bags? I went the blade lights and side bag lights on my 19 RK.

The bag light are bad ass love how they sequential, reminds me of the old mustangs, what about removing the round turn signals altogether? do you think it takes away from the sleekness of the rear of the bike?? Just a thought my friend. Loving your channel!

hey Helen Keller, you know there are 2 spots with no audio right? lol. i refreshed just to make sure it wasnt me lol. the 2nd one was right before you had to go do job stuff so it was really short. the first was when you was holding the light in the beginning, talking away but no audio lol. its fine. it could be worse,,,you could shaved off your beard like Droop did. lol. if you got a tripod you could show the break lights...or have your lovely assistant hit the breaks for you. the bike does look better. i feel LEDs should be standard on every vehicle now days. good vid
