I think the 3 losses will have a mental toll in this series, but imo, if the timberwolves play their best I can’t see them lose.

No question the Wolves will bring their A game, but I still don’t feel it’ll be enough. PHX is just too lethal offensively while also improving their defense in the last 20 games, essentially peaking as a team literally going into playoffs. Suns in 6.

Minny has home court advantage in the first round for the first time in 20 years since 2004, but the health of Karl-Anthony Towns is a concern for the Wolves. And they lost all three regular season games to Phoenix, including on the final day of the regular season. Overall, too much Devin Booker, too much Bradley Beal, and especially too much Kevin Durant. Suns in 7.

Minnesota in 7 you have to beat the tenants in front of you it's not about matchups it's about the better team and I think this is a very closely contested series because both teams have their strengths Minnesota does have some advantages of size and length and their defense is better but Phoenix is the better offensive team but you have to be able to do offense and defense to win the series Phoenix is sketchy on defense they can play defense just as a team they're not a great defensive team but they have stretches where they can be good defensively but Minnesota's a lockdown defensive team but their problem is they can go cold longer than needed so they need to pick up their offense that's why I said ultimately Minnesota in 7 most because they do have that home court and that means both teams will win on each other's courts but that could favorite Minnesota if this if Phoenix had the home court I would have picked Phoenix but I think Minnesota in a tough series but they'll squeak it out in seven games

If the refs give KAT a fair whistle like they do others, the wolves win this series. He gets so many bs offensive fouls called that the ref just refuses to call on others.

@azhule4041 so do other players as well. The point is, it's not called on them, but they choose to call it on KAT.
@MrBlackstallion009 maybe try to be more subtle with it? Granted yeah other players do it, like sabonis and pg13. However if he does it and gets called for it rather than argue with the ref which he has done alot, he should get back and focus on other areas, ie getting a stop on his end. He should also learn that being a bigger player is gonna draw more attention when you knock someone down

Also The Suns Have 3 All stars (2 all nba guys), a former 6th man of the year, the better coach and more playoff XP. Having your best big man be a center, and your best defensive player be a center and your 6th man be a center it’s just a tad redundant and doesn’t work in today’s NBA. MN had a good season too they’re a good team. This just isn’t their year.

You can tell that not a lot of people really watched those games and the issues around the 3 games this season.
Game 1 in Phoenix, wolves were coming off a b2b , low energy wolves just had nothing in the tank
Game 2 in Phoenix, No kat, wolves start off slow and never recovered. Played defense well but could not find a rhythm. They still held suns to under 100 points.
Game 3 in MN, Kat is back in the lineup, still rusty as the video mentioned. Wolves start off slow yet again and are missing shots they normally make, good looks but no luck. Suns are red hot, Ant still dealing with a week long cold(sickness). Wolves throw in the towel in the 4th
Wolves have played phenomenal all year. They have taken down teams like the nuggets , celtics, mavs , clippers, okc and etc. They held the top spot in the west for the majority of the season til Kat went down. They're number 1 in defense and 3pt percentage. If wolves get their heads straight and get back to what they did to start the season, suns are in for a long series. Lets not forget Ant has averaged almost 30 points a game in the playoffs and he averaged 31 points last year vs the nuggets. So he's going to get his

As a Timberwolves fan(From MN), I could not be more disappointed at how the season ended. However upon further review, the MN first match up was on a back to back road trip with The Suns after a win the night before against the Nuggets. We had a few key injuries the other games and I think Ant was out for one of them.
That being said, this was the worst case scenario for the Wolves, but I think they can do enough to close the Suns out. Wolves in 6!

Post December, Suns are one of the best 4th quarter teams (number #4)
When wolves arent turning the ball over 20 times in a half, scoring has been pretty much even. Wolves have outscored PHX in 6 out of 12 quarters this season, but also blown out in 3 of them. Itll be a way closer series than everyone thinks.
I’m not expecting this to just be a breeze. Can’t count the Wolves out let alone any team in the playoffs. It ain’t won until it’s all done but I definitely believe my Suns are gonna bring the heat. ☀️ 🔥

I thought the playoffs are different and you can't trust the regular season. Which one is it? Regular season doesn't matter or it absolutely matters?? Because the most consistent team all year was the wolves. And that consistency is going to matter in a 7 game series
Yes consistency matters but matchups and schemes matter more. KD Booker and Beal playing 40 minutes coming off screens and getting Ronnie range jumpers and being able to drive kick to shooters like Allen Gordon O’Neil it’s going to be tough for wolves to stop for 7 games.

Definitely not a 10+ year fan here so I'm just stumbling across this video from nowhere. Anyway, Steve Nash's analysis is really spot on here.
The Wolves need to play small ball and smart ball with a rotation of small quick hitting players who have the skills and talent to hold the lead and keep them hot against the Suns

I think the wolves should go smaller, bc that’s what the Suns are doing. KAT on Grayson Allen is a mis match. I think we should start Alexander-Walker because either way KAT is still recovering and still isn’t performing like he was so he should be given time, and we can also go smaller and have guys like Jaden McDaniels or Alexander Walker on Grayson Allen. I think it would work out. Conley on Beal, ANT on Booker, McDaniels on KD sometimes, Walker on Allen, and Gobert on Nurkic
Wolves going to a smaller starting lineup might happen as the series goes on, but you don't see a lot of teams preadjust.
