This band was one of the major kickass things of my teen years in the 90's. How did I never see these guys live the whole 16 years I lived in Germany?!? Never put off on tomorrow that which you could do today, as for me tomorrow will likely never come...
Blind Guardian is an awesome German Power Metal Band that formed in the mid 1980's. They have been credited as one of the most influential bands in the Power Metal and Speed Metal Subgenres. They sound quite Progressive to me also. Ten people have been part of this band's line up throughout history, which has included Singer Hansi Kürsh, Guitarists André Olbrich and Marcus Siepen and Drummer Frederick Ehmke since 2005. They really rock. Mahtava laulua!! Kiitos Markku! 🎸🖤🤘🏻🖤😎
I wouldn't call Blind Guardian a Power Metal. I hate the term. Every band and their mother nowadays is getting lumped into that genre. Edguy, Sabaton, Helloween etc., yet neither of them are a Power Metal band. Sure, Vain Glory Opera or Keepers may have some Power Metal characteristics, but that's about it. Compare them to real Power Metal bands such as Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica and Dragonforce and you'll immediately realize. /rant
The official videos are modified in post production. That's where you get the cool sound from. Not saying they don't sound good live. Just that you get extra candy on top, when it's an official Blind Guardian / Nuclear Blast production. It's not just the pure live recording. It's remixed, and audio engineer stuff has been done to it.
Just started listening to the Live Beyond the Sphere album. Bought it and got it home last week but have been sick and coundn't even find strength to put a disc in my PC and listen :) Now the time has come, 3 hours of absolute Live Blind Guardian. 3 discs with almost an hour on each, 22 songs, NOW THAT'S an album.
Amorr Winterstorm you do realise that it gets edited after in a studio ready for release on CD and DVD Etc. . . that's why it sounds so good. He is very good live but it's been tampered with
I believe they recorded on many of the different shows so they chose the performance that they believe where the best. I remember when they played in Gothenburg and they said they recorded the whole show .. If they did that in all countries they got a lot of material to choose from. Hence Hansi do sound this awesome live..
Hansi's voice is amazing, it didn't suffer from the years that passed since the first album with Blind Guardian, he always was and still is one of the greatest singers in Rock Music!!! And I absolutely love it, that Marcus and André still wear their hair long. :D
I suggest the songs Skalds and Shadows, Fly, Battlefield, and Nightfall, and Sacred Worlds. They're a fantastic metal band, especially if you like the fantasy genre.
angelowl89 script for my requiem, mirror mirror, another holy war, Valhalla, banished from sanctuary, theater of pain, and then there was silence, the maiden and the minstrel knight, when sorrow sang, majesty, welcome to dying, lost in the twilight hall, the bard's song in the forest... But go ahead and find out for yourself, and have fun!
Everything they made is awesome, but to caterogize it a bit: In my opinion their best three albums are Somewhere Far Beyond, At the Edge of Time and Beyond the Red Mirror. If you're more into prog/power metal, you should start at the end, with At the Edge of Time and Beyond the Red Mirror, and work back from there. If you're more into speed metal, you should start at their first album and work forward from there. Also, I myself don't consider them among my favorites, but Imaginations from the Other Side and Nightfall in Middle-Earth are by many considered (some of) their best albums. I would also argue that Nightfall in Middle-Earth is the easiest album to pick up if you do not know metal, maybe together with A Twist in the Myth (in my opinion their worst album, though on most bands it'd be a pretty good album).
Been listening to this live album since it released this morning .Can wait for my courier to arrive. Wish they would have released some kind of DVD alongwith it.
This is much better than the album version and this is my favorite track of the new album so I was interested if this epic song will work live and it is sooo good!
Hansi Kursch is still one of the best singers in Germany, but I miss a lot their early style, but there´s still a few trails in there, hope to see them on stage back again playing classic stuff! \m/
Never seen a live video, but I love their music. Looks like they could use WAY more special effects and stage performance to make it truly an epic experience. Also ads in the middle of the song wtf?
This sounds amazing but the video clips are so painfully pasted together. Hansi's shirt cant decide if its sleeves are up or down, his leg can't decide if its on the monitor or not and the microphone can't decide which hand its in! More continuity errors than the X-Men films!
I like this version much bettere than the record's. I'm not a fan of those infinite layers of voices they do in studio, plus the sound has just the right amount of roughness to it.
Hansi's voice is extraordinary!!
Yeah right, 52 and still getting better. He's da master
I don't know how the hell does Hansi to keep on singing that way...the years pass by and he sings as if he's roaring atop a mountain...
he is struggling a bit though if you compare it to Imaginations to Other side live songs. But he has overcome the down he had with ATITM
A trick : watch series on Flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Alan Cairo Definitely, I've been watching on flixzone} for years myself :D
Hearing that intro for the first time was like a religious experience. Two minutes of pure, uncut, majestic beauty.
Well I guess you have never found Christ then. Nothing compares.
@@RCWells86 Funny considering this song is about Revelations
@@tochinomasuta4600No, it’s not. It’s his own story that he made.
That intro is just astounding.
The guitar work is just impecable, both André and Marcus. On point, clean, huge and musical.

blind guardian king of power metal
Copper Qwaser uhhhh slipknot?
slipknot hahhahah:D
Blind Guardian is not a Power Metal.
Helloween & Blind Guardian :)
They are one of the most known power metal bands...
Man, this song never ceases to get me fired up! Truly a band like no other. Hope it's not too long before the next album arrives!
blind Guardian...perfect song performance... As always!
true \m/
This song is a genre of music unto itself. Who else writes music like this???

Marcus Siepen* :D
Thanks so much. My autocorrect changed his last name. I corrected it. Have a Great day or night Wherever in the world you may be!🙂

Nuclear Blast Records is my favorite label. So many good metal bands liks Blind Guardian and Sabaton.
As this masterpiece has got one dislike, I have to believe with pain that any thing can happen in this World.😠😥
I "deslike" this video. A GREAT song deserves a GREAT videoclip.
Great work!!!! I hope for a live Noldor Version!!!
As good as Guardian's songs sound on the record, most of them sound better live. What a freakin band.

@@dontanton7775 Nothing beats the "effect" of the crowd roaring along.
I'm totally addicted from this song !!!!

these guys are so good
id buy the dvd if they did this for every song
Hes voice is on point

Ethan Doughty If he is good live, they don't need to edit it in the studio.
Paulo Felicio all live shows for cd and dvd are edited in studio before releasing. very few are kept original. its just the done thing
Ethan Doughty Since they pickednup the hest performances and mixed them together in this CD, they wouldn't need to do that.
This mans VOICE will never faint with time... Just gets better and better!
Το ξερω ρε μαν, ειναι απιστευτος ο τυπος
I can't believe I can hear the bass in this song!
The intro.... MY GOD IT'S AMAZING! What a feeling I get!
Hansi's voice is amazing, it didn't suffer from the years that passed since the first album with Blind Guardian, he always was and still is one of the greatest singers in Rock Music!!! And I absolutely love it, that Marcus and André still wear their hair long. :D
Dafuq is this? It does sound quite epic and beautiful. Why have I never heard of this band before?
Some omnipotent intelligence has determined that your spirit is now ready for Blind Guardian.
I envy you. Start from Battalions of Fear (1988), no need to skip one single album or song.
Everything they made is awesome, but to caterogize it a bit: In my opinion their best three albums are Somewhere Far Beyond, At the Edge of Time and Beyond the Red Mirror. the fire burns indeed...
This is much better than the album version and this is my favorite track of the new album so I was interested if this epic song will work live and it is sooo good!
P&R Studios Kids on the Camera! I respectfully disagree. imo, the studio version is better
P&R Studios Kids on the Camera! much better
Still havent heard a GOOD version of any albums i listened
With you, was not huge on the mix on the last album.
The Ninth Wave is awesome. But my favorite track of the new album is The Holy Grail. One of their best songs ever.
As long as the drummer doesn't show this video on dates he should be golden. Else.... I think it will make it that much harder.
Grande Blind Guardian, hace ya 7 años que escucho a esta banda y me encanta, no me arrepiento de lo que gasté para ir a verlos en 2015
It was a good move to put Gullom on the drums. He nails it
Wicked😂
I headbanged so hard i had a near death expierience \m/
1:11 Where can I get a digital version of these artworks?
search on the internet for "felipe machado franco" it's the artist
Muchas thanks you danke gracias.
Discordia, discordiaaaa!. saludos desde Colombia
Slovakia. Bratislava. Aug 3rd. See you there!
what a voice he has!
One word, Incredible!!!!
Epic.
Looking forward to seeing them again at this years Bloodstock.
It's so much better than the album version! It feels less bloated
Ich weiß ned ob i wos anderes song soi als Danke für geile Musik.
God, I was at Blind Guardian's concert once and it was great, but I wish I experience this intro one day.
There’s never enough wah in a Blind Guardian song
What an opening for a live show...
I'm so sorry guys, really sorry :(
But 100% of the volume is not enough for this song :(
I have my ATH-PRO700MK2's plugged into an amp and I agree.
not for this one and not for any BG song. One of the best metal bands ever and still going after 30 years... Amazing
"Play Majesty" - A spanish fan
Dungeon Synth im spanish but i dont get It :(
We always ask for Majesty in Blind Guardian concerts
well i like majesty but i would ask for another one maybe voice in the dark haha
Dungeon Synth
They played Majesty as an Encore last time they were in my country 2 weeks ago :)
In Melbourne 2 years ago the fan were screaming for it and they decided to play at the encore, so good!
Excelente banda!
concordo com vc amanda excelente banda
Seing them live was remarkable
i hope i get a chance if they tour the symphony album
This intro is fucking insane !!!
I'm waiting for the next concert at Fortaleza, Brazil.
the hammer of metal
When the live version is better than the one on the album...
tipical of blind guardian
That's how you identify pure talent and passion
It's true enough for this song anyway! The production on this album was pretty bad.
ouhh yeah
Better production than on the album. rsrs
Please, remaster Beyond the Red Mirror :)
Yes, the production of last album was really mediocre. Songwriting was cool, though. But live version sounds much more epic, indeed!
Please, remaster every album produced by Charlie Bauerfeind.
Charlie Bauerfeind - the german answer to Rick Rubin since 2000.
zeroGasfiterTV Are you nuts?
João Farias Why remaster an album from 2 years ago?
Hansi Kursch is still one of the best singers in Germany, but I miss a lot their early style, but there´s still a few trails in there, hope to see them on stage back again playing classic stuff! \m/
3:13 Gollum is that you??
Never seen a live video, but I love their music. Looks like they could use WAY more special effects and stage performance to make it truly an epic experience. Also ads in the middle of the song wtf?
i can feel its coming
Episch! Gänsehaut pur!
Wow live much better than the studio recording 😮
Düsseldorf 2015, i was there \m/
me too!
With a german accent and the guilt of burning your parents alive, saying Düsseldorf is so funny. :p
amo tanto! ♥
I hope BG releases a new album this year.
This sounds amazing but the video clips are so painfully pasted together. Hansi's shirt cant decide if its sleeves are up or down, his leg can't decide if its on the monitor or not and the microphone can't decide which hand its in! More continuity errors than the X-Men films!
Please, play Mordred, another spanish fan 😘
powerful.
Bestial !!!!!
Live videos are the only BG videos we are going to see from now on, because of the Voice in the Dark video disaster.
+100!!
Goodness!!!... Why wouldn't the album itself sound like this???
MUSICA LINDA; MUITO BOM. ABRAÇO.
this is actually better than the studioversion
The backing vocals are always too low when they go live... pity :/
man! great arts! wtf
kn epic lads.
eight strings........
fuck yeah
I think it's just 7? Beyond the Red Mirror was the first album they used them on.
*Delete.* *The dying.* *Old crow..!*
Voldermort as drummer is the best
Великолепно!
Did they imagine this would be a COVID tune?
1:36 Praise Kek
This is way better than the original
Here you have a band that sounds better live than in studio... Is there a better quality for a rock band? I think not!
Материал отличный, но звук на последнем альбоме получился не очень. Хорошо бы было, если Blind Guardian сделали ремастеринг "зеркала".
♡
29 guys haven't survived the eighth wave...
When will the whole live performance be released in video?:)
it wont:/
4:16 The Ninth Reich
I can feel it coming
The Ninth Reich
anyone know places where was recorded
Can't wait for 07/07/2017.
I have no idea why... but I think the live version is way better o.O
What a blast, I really have to get to one of their concerts before I die. I already missed 2, that were really nearby... T-T
Where is this?
Yep! :D by T&M
I like this version much bettere than the record's.
I'm not a fan of those infinite layers of voices they do in studio, plus the sound has just the right amount of roughness to it.
In my opinion, no live version of Ninth Wave can beat the original. It's never nearly as good as the studio version.
Didn't know Voldemort played drums...
5:28
oof
Blind Guardian + Knife Party. Just an idea.
an excellent idea
Rock Heavy Metal
Power Metal
fucking Gollem killing it on the drums
