- Erling Haaland finally stung the Bees as his second half finish helped us see off Brentford 1-0 in a very welcome win at the Etihad.
Before tonight, Haaland had scored against 20 of the 21 Premier League teams he’s faced.
He added Thomas Frank’s men to his now complete list and secured us a valuable three points.
The victory, which was far from easy against the determined and resolute visitors, moved us into second spot in the Premier League table, a solitary point behind leaders Liverpool.

Crucial saves? Ended up losing 100% anyway. Could've been 3-0 without the referees and defender clearing the line. It would matter if he saved games and points in games.
Haaland's ability to get himself into favourable positions is better than any striker i've ever seen. Its a crucial talent that doesn't get enough focus, he's always right there where he needs to be shrugging off defenders like they're toddlers.

Great first touch by Haaland. The commentator thought it was a mistouch but it was perfect and required the stretch of a prima ballerina to reach it. These types of goals are what he was scoring for fun in the Bundesliga but City rarely play this way for him, unfortunately. If they did perhaps these counterattacking teams would be in two minds all the time and their threat would be diminished.

Happy with the 3 points and the clean sheet (which has been rare this season), but overall we've now had over 50 shots combined in two matches (Chelsea and Brentford) and only scored 2 goals in total.
We need to be more clinical up front asap, against better teams we'll get even more less chances in front of goal and with this rhythm we'll struggle a lot.

Slow build up. Trouble in midfield. He needs to change tactics because everyone knows build-up is from the centre backs. These guys were playing beautiful football at the start of the season - long balls and now they just defaulted to whatever they are playing now.
