It wasn't big in Europe either, but still, bigger than in the USA. Yes, are neat. And there's a large international community on Facebook and other forums that loves them. Including me!
I love the back of those TDK MJs, especially the red one. I might have asked you before, how do you find out the year they were made please? 10 out of 10 for your research!
Hi there. For the year of manufacture I consult sergio's History of portable MiniDisc & Blanks site: sites.google.com/view/crazyforminidisc/home-page?authuser=0 Maybe it's not 100% accurate, but in the absence of a more elaborate database, it's pretty good. In parallel, I also use Jeremy Tilston's "Students of the Little Disc" forum on Facebook. Maybe you know Jeremy, maybe don't. If you don't know the forum, send me a message on Facebook to the user with the same name as my UA-cam channel and I'll send you an invitation. Yeah, the TDK MJs are pretty beautiful with all those concentric circles. In fact I like all the minidiscs with all that great variety of shapes and colors but some of them are real works of art. I love them. You have some pretty good ones in your collection too... and congrats for 1K subscribers. Thanks for watching.
@@antonelrotaru20 Thank you very much. That's a great resource (Sergio's), I'll have a look. I'm in that Facebook group and a couple of others. I just don't like Facebook at all, usually, so I'm hardly ever logged in. It's a shame I dislike it, because there are some very knowledgeable people there. Did you get this batch of MDs from Japan? I'd love to make a Jauce order of MD, but the shipping and import duties scare me.
@@CBitsTech You're right about facebook. I don't like it either. I stay there and on other topics MDs or audio cassettes related because of those very knowledgeable people. Jeremy is one of them. And Tony from the Cassette come back too. Yes, this lot is directely from Japan. I don't bring them myself. Someone import them from there for me.
Very cool, minidisc is something I wanted to get into. However they never really got big here in the U.S. I still think they are neat though. 😎👍
