Curious to see how this looks in a week. It already seems like the cold air is getting pushed further out for areas like Missouri. When was the last time there was a winter with below average temps for the majority of the winter? It seems like above normal is common on most days.
For where? East has been below normal so far in December, others, not so much. Not sure about overall cold for winter nationwide, usually somebody is above or below.

Agree. Even if it gets cold, that just means dry. Clippers go too far North and no Southern jet involvement. We need rain in the Ohio Valley by so I’m glad it’s warming up next week and looks wet.
@ thank you, we just haven’t been in a favorable cold pattern whether we’re in a La Niña, the polar vortex is strong, or just warm water off the Atlantic.
@@WeatherWithTravis yes they will aways AWAYS be wrong But, i still think its great to see the snow amounts cause IF there was a storm like the WRONG radar says it is still good to see how much WOULD happen if a snow DID happen. but, i do see why you would not put it in the video cause some people just look at it and say for example "OH its going to snow jan 4th" cause that is going to change a bunch and WILL NOT HAPPEN LIKE THE MODELS ARE SHOWING!!!!!
I’m in the Hudson Valley, Pawling NY. We’ve had measurable snow 4 times - possibly 5, but I recall 4. Usually 1-2 inches, but we got about 4 on 12/16. First snow was on 11/22. I’m encouraged by what we’ve experienced so far, that we’ll get some proper storms in the next 6-8 weeks.
May i ask where you were a meteorologist for? Not necessarily a station but just state would be fine. Ive always been curious lol also bring on the cold! Dont want anything extreme but i would love it to actually feel like winter at least for a bit here in north texas
