I can't wait for the fpPS4 version. I nearly screamed from hyped when i saw J-Stars Victory VS+Plus running on a PS4 emulator. Hoooly Cow.
It is progressing hella fast, I wonder how long it will take to run AAA games, I heard it is not a emulator but a compatibility layer, but Im still afraid I wont be able to play AAA games with my current pc
Can anyone please explain what the compatibility layer is? And how it is only executable in ubuntu and not in windows?

@@asifahmed4 Looks like nobody answered... A compatibility layer takes the instructions the game needs to process and forwards them to the real hardware while trying to modify incompatible instructions in a way the host processor understands. An emulator would just pretend the software runs on the original console by recreating all parts of it accurately. In theory a compatibility layer should run way faster than full emulation because there's less stuff to do, but it can only work well if the device the software was designed for and the host device are already similar.

I'll tell you before they fall for this fake like-seeking video! IF there is a working PS4 emulator, even though there is no acceptable working PS3! So if this one in the video really works, how does it run with 3GB of system memory, 7% CPU usage and 1GB of video memory ??? The whole video is a scam!!!
What? RPCS3 works just fine for most games. That's a working usable ps3 emulator
1- RPCS3 is a great ps3 emulator, running games like metal gear solid 4 and others. And ps3 is notoriously hard to emulate because of the CELL processor, which is used in supercomputers, and wasnt used on the ps4.
2- the reason is that spine isnt a standard emulator. Standard emulators try recreating hardware from scratch,(this is an oversimplification, but its the best way i can explain to a non programmer).Compatiblity layers(spine n others) usssualy run on platforms which share alot of parts, so alot of things that would normally be emulated arent. They are focused more on translating OS calls to windows. Which is much less resource intensive.
"Running" games
So, not one 1st party graphically intensive game. A lot of low poly/2d indies. I think we know why.
