Brad Mondo is literally the only hairdresser that doesn't judge other peoples techniques etc. The only reason I support and love watching you're videos! LOVE LOVE LOVE you!
The “hairspray” the air touch guy was spraying is actually joico defy damage. It’s a bond builder that you spray on before color services. It actually works really well! Just thought you should know 😉
I love that brad still tries to pursue every little piece of knowledge there is out in the web. Still trying to improve, still trying to see how other people do things, always open for new and different techniques. That's how you continue growing!!! Love you Brad!
It's NOT a balayage, it looks like the highlights we did back in the 80z, and no...just no. That was a rubber cap btw...and they HURT LIKE FUCK when you put them on!!! The first one, btw...
Yep. I had my hair done with the cap once by someone who learned how to do hair in the 80s and it was god damn awful. I may as well have dunked my head in bleach. Terrible technique
It actually does not. I did a balayage today with teasing the sections as I worked. It creates definition in between the parts that are lightened to give a more natural look. And if he did his research, did more balayages and watched, there's ways to comb the hair out when you're shampooing and conditioning after the lightening session, so that the hair doesn't get tangled or have any damage.
I was born in the early 80s and Brad's look is sooo *NSYNC end of 90s themed it almost hurts. 😂 The sweater... the chain... the hair. I'm not even 40 and seeing looks from the 80s and 90s coming back is so interesting (and scary because some of them were horrifying!) to see. 😂

She said it saves her so much time and hand work! Totally recommend them for u brad!
I love the air touch method! For all lightening services not just balayage. Everyone has shorter pieces throughout their hair whether it be damage from lightening, heat styling, putting it in a ponytail, not being gentle when brushing etc., and the air touch to me is like a cleaner, much easier version of the teasing effect.

With the blowdrying balayage: yes it would help with avoiding baby hairs, but the heat from the dryer probably helps it process more quickly as well!
The dryer makes the bleach dry faster and could result in the hair not lightening enought.
