My goodness, it's beautiful even without color. I think I would have to do 2, one with color and one without. In the US, people sometimes appreciate monochromatic schemes. I have to try this. I really have to.

Wow...Thanks so much . This is what I was yearning to learn. Today just by accident I came across this link and I am hooked to it. I have tried on my own , I will share with you tomorrow. I have done 6" x 6" canvas frames and here I see much more finished professional end result. I had done one 36" x 48" sand and oil color combination canvas painting...giving effect of carved statue...unfortunately I lost it as it got damaged during earthquake in India. Np one was living in that vacant apartment as me and my family is here in USA. So when I visited my home back in India it was lying flat on the floor on the pile of pigeon dung...and was covered with the same on top of it! Could not dare to retrieve it! But surely I want to make another one. This technique will give me better control over that carved effect on my art work! Thanks so much. I have already subscribed your link and wishing you all the best.
Does the paste you put on the canvas White, because it looks just like canvas? Paste looked like very light coffee. Even the paste in your cone is white, but while making it was colored due to gum Arabic. I hope you answer my questions. The dried layer and second layer has different color. Each layer is different color. Did you add colors to different cones?

Try to put bakram or fabric over the spoiled painting and paint over it again.
Really, hard work needed to make this kind of masterpiece.... Love it.

yes, I made different cones, sometimes using colour in it.... so it miss matched..
