Melody writes most of the lyrics, and art work. Her dad, Florin also writes lyrics. Sam does video editing. And they all work on music writing. Mom does marketing and merch. Truly a family working together.

    • @anxofernandez3344

I think Sam also writes lyrics and their dad comes up with the production of the videos for the most part, which is normal because he has experience. They make a great team working together, but if they keep getting bigger, which they probably will, they may have to hire some people. I'm sure the family will still be in charge and directing everything, but someone else will have to deal with the small stuff. I don´t think that day is too far away because being as good as they are, they'll get a big break sooner or later and jump on to the mainstream.

You have discovered what drives all of us in the fang gang to love Liliac so much , they are professional, personable, phenomenal, performers . From interviews and their vlogs i believe that papa Liliac and the 3 eldest collaborate in writing their songs , some of the more savvy subscribers will no doubt let you know .I take it from what I've read and heard that all of the family contribute to the band in some capacity or another , what ever they do they should keep it up its working extremely well .I , like you , think Melody is an old soul in a young person and the band does have an 80s vibe which as an old rocker I appreciate. As far as the writing, it's mostly what I call the nucleus does a lot of the writing. Melody does bass and Melody lines. However, Papa Liliac has said that Ethan will start writing bass parts on the next album they are working on. The younger kids are catching up. I have this on DVD. On Sam's solo, it reminds me of old movie Sci fi sound effects when I hear it. So cool.oving your Liliac weekend. Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. FANG 4 LIFE! RORH 🤘 🦇

Speaking of Sam as Jimi Hendrix, may I recommend you check out a Romanian kid named Andrei Cerbu.
He's done multiple Hendrix covers, and he just graduated high school in June. He also just turned 18.

I'll let you know right now that Melody singly wrote "Nothing" after a breakup with a boy. Mostly it's collaborative tho. Sam does most of his own compositions, sometimes with his Dad tho. Redding was done by Scorpions. Yes! Liliac needs to go to the UK but they don't have a label so they need a promoter in the UK who will call their booking agent.

The part where Melody was first humming and singing "and fly, and fly, and fly away with me" (around 14 Mins and something), before the usual sound of the song sets in again, reminded me of a part of "Catch the Rainbow" by Dio live in Munich 1977!! Of course that from Dio was way better, but that part here in that song MUST be a tribute to Ronnie James Dio (Make it shine, shine, shine, shine, shine, shine, shine, shine, for you and i....). Rainbow and Dio Fans know what i am talking about ("Rainbow live on Stage" is the name of the album)

If I had to pick my favorite cover I would go with Rainbow in the Dark, Holy Diver, or The Last in Line, all Ronnie James Dio covers but unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, I can't pick my favorite out of those 3.

You must be a late Gen X'er as you mentioned the 90s. I myself am a early to mid Gen X'er, so I caught the latter half of the glory days of the 80s. So I got into all the great metal bands of that era...The Big 4, and the other 3 bands that should have made it the Big 7, like Testament, Overkill, and Exodus. Iron Maiden was huge as well. But yeah, I gotta tell that I started to lose faith in the 90s when the master corporate overlords dictated what kind of music people "preferred." I'll never forget the day when MTV just up and secretly switched from playing Rock to Grunge and Rap/Hip Hop. It was a sad 5 or 6 years until nuMetal hit in the late 90s. But then it still didn't feel right, because they didn't do guitar solos. But fortunately nuMetal died a quick death (for the most part) and by the mid 2000s, classic 80s style metal was back in full bloom along with some new subgenres like Symphonic Metal and widening audiences. Metal has never been stronger than today, you just gotta know where to look for it. It's on UA-cam and at the music festivals.

Then I watched Holy Diver and Rainbow in the Dark just for fun because both he and Samuel Cristea did solos in both of those. I still think Samuel Cristea is the better guitarist though, Andrei Cerbu is great though, I'd put him at a close 2nd, but I wouldn't say he's light years ahead of Samuel Cristea, that's stretching it for me.

Second, that's cool that you've already heard several songs of Andrei's.
Third, I can see why you reached the conclusion you did. So far, you've only heard Andrei doing rock/metal songs similar to what Liliac plays. It doesn't appear you've yet seen Andrei's blues stuff (including multiple Jimi Hendrix covers).
Would you mind doing me one small favor?
Andrei just posted a new video yesterday with his band The Voodoo Child from a live performance at a blues festival a few weeks ago.
Would you mind watching their performance of "Hoochie Coochie Man" and offering your honest thoughts on his guitar playing in that one? I would appreciate it.

@@joshuaburba1048 I would love to see Liliac cover Fear of the Dark though, because the beginning has a Bass part to showcase Ethan, and it's a song that would showcase Melody's soft and high vocals very well, then the solo for Sam, Abigail would slay those drums, and I'm sure they would add the Keys or Piano somehow, that would be interesting. I could be wrong but I thought that Iron Maiden Fear of the Dark didn't just start out with a Bass guitar part but also a Rhythm guitar part, unless that was something Andrei Cerbu and that Bass guitarist added? Correct me if I'm wrong about that, but if I'm right what if Ethan and Justin do that Bass and Rhythm guitar part and Sam comes in later with the Lead guitar solo? In the 90s, our generation had bands like Nirvana, Green Day, The Offspring, Garbage, No Doubt, Korn, Blur, Oasis...a lot. And Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica or Motorhead were still at their peak. We even saw in the late 90s and early 2000s the rise of the new metal with Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machiine, Linkin Park, System of a Down, Evanescence...and symphonic metal with Nightwish and Within Temptation. Now, 20-25 years later, there's nothing vlike that and there´s absolutely no rock on the radio, and I mean no rock on any of its forms or genres. Hopefully Liliac can be the ones who kick the door down and pick up the mantel for Gen Z.
