Really love how the painting is coming together! It's looking amazing so far. I'm sorry you felt robbed of a normal childhood, but I am glad you escaped and did get to experience some normalcy once you guys moved to Washington. Did your mom also stop believing in the cult at that time? I grew up SDA and even that has a way of making you feel like you're an awful person who deserves hell, so I can only imagine how you must have felt in your situation. I became a much happier person when I reasoned my way out of religion entirely. Really enjoy hearing you talk about your experiences; thanks for sharing with us!

Every kid deserves to grow up in a nurturing and safe environment, to have that carefree childhood experience. It’s sickening how you were treated by people who should have provided you with comfort and protection. :( Despite such a dark childhood you bring so much light into this world, and no one could ever take away your kind heart. I hope you know what an inspiration you are
Your raccoon is ADORABLE!! The eyes 😭 He’s so lifelike and vibrant and happy. ITS SO FESTIVE. I looove the look of oils but they scare me. I read it can take up to six months for it to fully cure? @-@

      PFFF STOP IT 😭
      Tysm 💞👄💞
Oh gosh, I hope not. I don’t wanna wait 6 months to fling it around the room and use it as a replacement wheel for a wagon.
But the smooth look of the paint and the way it blends scratches an itch on my brain that I didn’t know I had. Acrylic is a butt to blend. :/

Your beautiful animal illustration style reminds me of children’s books :-) for someone who doesn’t have experience with oil painting you are knocking it out of the park! :-)
As for your story… Your ability to talk about things of that nature, in such a brilliant and masterful way with the most appropriate amount of humor sprinkled in, is just amazing! I think I mentioned to you before already that I am trying to figure out how to tell some pretty dark stories in storytime fashion without making people uncomfortable and I just don’t know how I could be even half as good as you… albeit not Cult related just PDF files. Unfortunately, that’s all too common even with what’s considered a normal childhood. Thank you so much for being such a good artist and such a good storyteller.❤️🕊️

      Thank you so much!
Wishing you the strength to talk about it. 💞
I wouldn’t worry too much about making people uncomfortable as long as you include a warning! If you think about it, true crime channels are some of the top ones on YT, and the stories there often go into great detail.
One in nine girls are victims of CSA.. and that’s just a rough estimate. I really believe it’s far more. A lot of .pdfs go unpunished and the survivors are forced to stay quiet, sadly. I think using our voices and just speaking up about it and telling our stories is a form of defense. They thrive on silence and shame.

@@kitfaced those are some powerful words, my dear😉😉
I think some of the people I’d worry about making uncomfortable would be family members… Do you mind me asking how your mother deals with the things you talk about on your channel? You are a very strong person and very gifted. ❤️

@@creativesolutionstoartMy mom is apologetic for things that happened to me and we’re on good terms lately! But she doesn’t watch my videos as far as I know, so I’m not sure how she’d feel about me rambling about these things on the internet. If she does find it and doesn’t like what she hears, well, I think it will be all right. Maybe sometimes it’s okay to make people a little uncomfortable.

That’s good that she acknowledges things, and she is sorry. And you have a very healthy attitude about it all. I will be brave about it someday and creative enough eventually to talk about it. Thanks for your time and your replies, looking forward to your next video and your paintings!❤️😉
