Wow!!! I model N myself and the completion of detail on your layout is a true tribute as to what can be done in the smaller scales. I came across your channel today and immediately subbed, clicked the bell and shared your channel with a friend who is in Pa...O scale. He needs to see what can be done in the smaller scales when care is taken to bring a layout to life. Great job. Thank you so much for sharing. Looking forward to seeing what else you have on your channel.. Tom
I originally thought "O" scale, because of the attention to detail. This is really spectacular and reminds me of true trains I remember in settings I remember.
Beautiful work. I also have N scale. My current layout will be coming down. The next will be prototypical as possible of the EL, Delaware div and D&H Susquehanna div. Binghamton NY to Scranton PA interchange. 1940’s to early 60’s. After over 50 years of layout building for myself and others ,I will make Model Railroader magazine. My new home 60’ by 32’ of basement and my wife in not allowed 1” of that space. And I have her permission to say that. Beautiful work , it truly is more inspiring for me.
just saw this and was thinking there's not fricken way this in N scale. i kept thinking O scale also like the others said. Only thing that gave it away that it was N scale was the couplers which i know since I own n scale stuff also. that's really good camera work fooling me entirely thinking that is NOT N. very very high detailed work there!
Gorgeous! Well I own several of these locos and rolling stock myself. That L1 looks like the fantastic GHQ kit on the KATO mech. Your track work is super smooth. Do you own the Precision Scale K4s? I have two of these and of course they need to be modded. Love your work!
@@DouglasNelson thanks for the reply. The Bachmann K4s seem to be nicer, except fir the dome that is too high, but the PSC brass models are sweet, not as awesome as the Key Imp. models, but still nice. Back when I had some cash, I got the T1 duplex and the J1, both FP from Key Imp. I never regretted spending the money. Now to start building a layout.... my models are still waiting. I also was patient enough to catch some great diesels (I also have the ER Models freight Sharks) and others. I was too late for the Key M1, but hopefully I'll get one used sone day. Thanks again.
The express reefer and baggage car are resin kits. The first passenger car, coach-baggage, is kitbashed from a Model Power car. The others are Micro-Trains.
There was a series inspired by thomas and friends on youtube that had the characters use the following as basis: -a BNSF freight engine -a PRR steam locomotive -a gray diesel shunter Does anyone know of it? If so, let me know (ive been searching for it since 2019)
From what I see, you do excellent work, but it would be helpful to pan back so that the viewer can get a better idea of the shape and size of your layout.
Absolutely stunning. Fantastic work. Love it!!
Extraordinary modeling and detailing!
Thanks for sharing!

I also model the Pennsy in N, and let me say that I am very impressed with your work.
Awesome to see all the Alco, Baldwin and FM cabs without the too common EMD's :) Very nice railroad!
I see a few Berwind cars on that coal train.
I also liked the mail train!
Great job!

Terrific representation of PRR. Enjoyed your previous vids, too. Would like to see a switching session. Thanks for sharing your work.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤I model the PRR in O gauge that ran through Michigan from Cincinnati to Mackinaw City. Nice train.
What wonderful detailing and track work. I really enjoyed this video and thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your comments. I look forward to seeing your layout.
Hello Sir, it's been a long time, I've had a 3rd stroke and its put a hamper on my work...

Wow love your layout Douglas. I am a big PRR fan, so keep the videos coming.
Great layout!! thanks!!
Beautiful layout!
Awesome layout, great footage.

Hi Douglas, I love your layout, it's inspiring me to do something similar in HO or N.

Thanks. I have a couple of the Precision Scale K4s that have improvements.

Douglas, would you allow me to use some of your excellent footage to advertise for a fall train show in North Carolina next fall?
Yes. Credit would be appreciated.
This layout looks amazing! Who makes that heavyweight passenger car set at the beginning of the video?
The express reefer and baggage car are resin kits. The first passenger car, coach-baggage, is kitbashed from a Model Power car. The others are Micro-Trains.

Absolutely love your layout. Ever thought of automating the trains?
I like the Lines West H-8/9/10.
Which loco had the banshee whistle? Love the eerie sound surrounding the layout?
I am not certain- I actually used some John Profit recordings with the video.
dunno why utube popped this into my feed. I watch to see the h-8/9/10 run.
Where can a fellow model railroader find the track plan for your layout??
You can find a plan of the layout here:
www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=23701
Late to the party here, really nice layout........is this your layout?..........does it still exist?
Yes, that’s my layout. It’s still going after about 22 years.
Nice layout :)
Are those H-10s in N scale? If they are, where did you get them?
That is a Key brass H10. You can occasionally find them on eBay.
From what I see, you do excellent work, but it would be helpful to pan back so that the viewer can get a better idea of the shape and size of your layout.
Thanks Lou. I have had a few similar comments and I plan to add a video tour of my layout.
