Wow. I learned more in this short video than I did my whole semester. Best demonstration ever! Thank you for sharing. This video is going to save me 10000 hours of studying time.
I am in my third course with AHIMA Bleu for CCA. I am enjoying it. Passing all finals. Whew. Thank you for your videos, you have helped so much., and yes all is well, been working out on my elliptical cardio dual trainer, and study, study, study! Lol. :) I hope you're doing well. You always look happy in all of your videos. :)
Currently looking into medical billing/coding classes... do you find physicians are sometimes not specific in documentation? If so is there a way for you to contact them, dig farther into the situation? How is that handled? Great video btw it has me excited :)
I’m a nurse that wants to leave the profession. I want to train in medical billing and coding. Would you define it to be hard to learn with my medical background? I want to start the end of this month through penn foster. Thanks for advice.
Hi Bleu. A little late to the party but I just watched this video on encoder. I rented 3M Encoder from AHIMA and am currently using it with my courses. I have roughly 80 hours of coding time, to date, with the AHIMA version so I'm wondering if I can be considered an 'experienced user' when it comes time to put my resume together? Thanks.
Yes you can put that down as a skill but if you haven't taken your certification exam yet, I hope you're practicing with the books! There is no encoder use allowed on the exams.
This was so good you know how to teach. Do you work for a hospital or Dr. I have my medical Billing and Coding degree but since I didn't have 2 yrs. Experience I haven't been hired and it's been 7 yrs. Now I need to brush up. How can I get my foot in the door.
Yes, knowing how to navigate is key. At least if you understand 3M, its a really good thing. Other systems like Epic, Cerner (sp?), Meditech, most employers are still willing to train since not all facilities use the same software.
@One Time Not all hospitals use the same software. The 3M software is available for purchase but from what I heard for an individual account is quite pricey.
Love your channel! I started a coding class and so far I’ve been doing okay. I would like to know is it difficult to get a medical coding job remotely??
When you take your exam, you have to use the medical coding books. The coding software, called an encoder, is for use when you are working as a medical coder.
Aww Dani, its going to be OK. ❤ Employers want credentialed hardworking people. How you perform in school doesn't matter to them, really. They want to know that you have your credential and that you can meet accuracy and production... that's all. You're going to do well, that I have no doubt! 💯 This is just part of your journey and shaping process. Hugs to you!

This was SO neat to watch!! I got so excited 😂 I always wanted to see what the encoders looked like. Thank you!
Thanks! Perfect timing…I was just looking at CCA exam content…”Utilize encoding and grouping software.”
Couldn’t have made
that happen without you…🎉🎉🎉
Great video Bleu! Demonstrations like this one are so few on youTube; I really think more of this is needed ;) Thanks again 🙏
Thank you for watching!!😁
Thank you so much for demonstrating the encoder for us. I throughly enjoyed it. You are the best! 👏🌹😊
Glad it was helpful! :D
I'm so excited to be have a training on medical coding ♥️♥️ thanks a lot this really helps to know more on the job..

I cannot wait to start doing this Bleu. :)

Absolutely. Querying the physician for further information is vital for data integrity and reimbursement purposes.
great video

@@dgeie1414 good to hear!
I am studying coding, and wanted to know how to use the EMC, it looks easy ...THANK YOU.
would u pls upload more videos like this on practical application of coding knowledge?
I like your encoder better than mine. Ours does not have the interactive feature for dx codes. That is very cool!

Thank you for posting this, great video demonstrating what an encoder looks like.
Awesome job Bleu - learnt about Multiple Tobacco Dependence code selection being appropriate 👍🏾. Thanks so much
This was extremely helpful to actually see this, and a coder at work:)
Glad you enjoyed it!
This was very helpful, thank you!
Thank you so much for making this video. very helpful! :)
Do you train people on how to be a medical cider? Thanks
I'd imagine the encoder is much different now as this is 4 years ago.
You imagine incorrectly.
Very very interesting I am 44 years old and considering a medical coding career
Thank you for the tutorial.
This type of demonstration is very helpful.. thanks Bleu😉
Good!! I was worried I went too fast :/
What is the exact certification do I need to get to do the same kind of job like in the video ?
You can get the CCA from ahima.org or CPC from aapc.com
Thank you for watching.
Perfect Demo and nice nails
Please do more of these
Thank you for showing us that. That's another thing I've noticed with the coding positions was experience with 3M or Epic software.
