This whole avoiding therapy for your child is crazy especially if you feel you did everything to help them and it's not working then why would you deny professional assistance now I will agree I'm not big on just throwing a child on medication because he's not listening to what you telling them to do but at the same time therapy and allowing that child a safe place for someone to talk to whether it's you the father or stranger that's a professional therapist can truly help

@@Leira26ariel yes that's true but I don't always like to jump straight to mental issues with children without knowing the whole scenario a lot of single moms go through issues with their sons and children naturally because of the circumstances and environment they're living in he could just be acting out because of something he sees within the home or him needing his father more prevalent in his life because that's important for a boy just BC a child starts acting out and fighting does not mean necessarily that they have mental issues
@@prettyblindeyes4375 acting out still requires treatment. Especially if the mom needs the help. I'm not speaking out my are ive actually went through this my son was diagnosed with autism ADHD. My son was acting out because his brain process information differently. Nobody just acts out for no reason. If thr parent cant handle it they definitely need a profession opinion.

Why isnt mental health the first thing mothers dont account for behavior? If your child is acting out its a psychological reason behind it. My son was like that and now hes been diagnosed with autism ADHD.

Behavioral issues may be an expression of underlying trauma/ stress. Young children don't always know how to process their emotions and "acting out" may be a cry for help. The Body Keeps the Score provided me with great information about childhood development and how trauma affects children all the way into adulthood. There's not just talk therapy, there's all sorts of therapy that can assist in helping a child regulate their nervous system in a healthy manner. Hopefully she finds the assistance she needs 🙏🏾
I really don't feel like Mona should do surgery. I worry alot when it comes to surgery especially with the history of working in the field but just do all the research and makes sense. You are so important to the culture Mona.
I agree with Phelps that little boy needs a change of environment send him to his daddy I don't care what school he's in he still has a child so he needs to take care of his son give him that different exposure it's either going to make him do better or it's going to show him how good he had it over at his mother's house so he'll act right when he comes back home either way that little boy will still get the answers he's been seeking which is probably him wanting more of a connection with his father in the first place

For the phone call I’d say at least try therapy, I understand not wanting to give him the medication but definitely try the therapy. It could make a huge difference in his life, we have to take mental health serious in our community. The child could be lashing out because of his father not being around.
