Hey Tech Gee, Im currently in the army rn and I've been looking at reclassing to a 25B for a while now and my window is coming up in March, do you recommended doing college classes that is IT related to the mos to be more prepared for the future and do certifications in the meanwhile?
Nahhh bro you can get every cert on your own no college needed I have learned more in my own time then 3 semesters of college trust waist of money and time
Do you think the new mos 25H
(Network Communication System specialist) will help prepare me for a career in cybersecurity or should I choose 25B? Which mos do you think has more transferable skills for civilian jobs?
25H is made up of three mos's combined 25L, 25N and 25Q.
Neither will prepare you for cyber security but you will get general technical skills in both MOS. However, 17C is cyber and this will give you an edge over 25B and 25H. 25B is either networking or help desk in an S6. 25H can vary but will usually be dealing with Satcom.
Agree with what the other guy LeDernierCreole said about 17C definitely the way to go but recently they closed of 17C and I was told you can only reclass into it (not sure if this varries by state or there was a misunderstanding still worth checking if you can get 17C First!). If you can get into it great otherwise 25D Cyber Defense is the way to go
Hey boss how u doing, I’ve got some questions man. I just got out of the Air Force as an MP after 10 years currently in the IRR and looking to join the Army as a 25B I’m already talking with a recruiter and I qualify for the job because as an scores. And I want to know how the job on a daily schedule is, what do they do? And also if u deploy as a 25B what was the experience and the job in a deployment. Ty and I appreciate the info in the video.
