I believe you did not mention that you can use the algae itself to tame herbivores (knockout tames only), as it works similarly to mutton.
It took me slightly over 50 to tame a 150 Bronto, but I did not lose any levels.
With a high Archelon, it should be a matter of waiting for the algae to fully grow.
Otherwise, tame/breed a few.
Additionally, unless I am mistaken, leveling up its food stat is actually beneficial since it increases the amount of algae it can produce.
So, much like the Daeodon, it will definitely benefit from having "Mutable" and "Robust" Food and "Fatty" traits - perhaps even more so given the Archelon's natural armor and health.
Given all this, it is probably best to separate your Archelon into two groups:
One serves as a sort of algae "kibble farm" where you leave some "Mutable" and "Robust" food-leveled turtles out in the water constantly breeding;
The other is for your everyday creatures, leveled both in Health and Food (and some Weight if need be).
They should have the "Fatty" trait plus any other that can be useful like "Carefree" or "Cowardly" to move faster (the latter may be more convenient for PvP since it activates upon receiving damage), "Protective" to reduce rider damage, "Tenacious" to reduce the amount of damage taken when the Archelon's health is low or "Warm" to provide hypothermic insulation since the ocean depths are cold.

Everyone i know thats used them say they are a bit better than a carbos for soaking.. and not too much bigger so good for smaller raid locatolions(where you cant fit a mosa/meg/megachelon)

It might have been cool if sushi would've done an effectiveness boost above 100%, like 130% or something but as they have it, sushi is basically useless as far as I see it, at least not useful enough to actually go out and tame any for that purpose.

Uh? Another water soaker and alot say they are op soakers..not to mention built in 02...definitely useful...and the taming effectiveness is amazing..for tamers..Just cause you don't have a use...doesn't mean others dont

@@randyburton2234 huh??? You don't ride carbos? Ever pvped lmfao.. you just level and throw em out? They are to soak bullets.. and be alot easier with a dino that actually can maneuver in the water. Not to mention..tamers having sushi is a major plus.
