Seeing Hathaway being dubbed his Mafty persona in this game is interesting to me in a weird way. It makes sense of course, but I always find this classification of Hathway's Flash Hathaway being his Mafty persona as an interesting way of showing the person that this isn't Hathaway anymore, it's Mafty. 'Hathaway' is only a title to him that he uses to reach his goals. The interactions they included with the Celestial Being members as well were definitely my favorite part of the DLC because Celestial Being and Mafty had the same goals, but vastly different ideals. Mafty is blinded by his cause and revenge against the system that turned him into who he is now that he has no sight of the future that his actions will create. He can kill as many Federation officials as he wants, but he doesn't realize that simply killing the people in power won't fix anything. Someone will be there to take on their mantle and some will also be seeking their own revenge.
00 is probably the only Gundam timeline where we actually get to see a world where "Newtypes" become the norm and actually get to thrive, we get to see the world UC Gundam has always been seeking. And it's because Celestial Being, (or rather Aeolia) understood that the act of just killing those in power would never work. Where Celestial Being and Mafty's ideals differ is that Celestial Being knew that in order for humanity to evolve they had to seek understanding and dialogue. But what Mafty doesn't understand is that you can't communicate with a corpse, and the only thing that'll be left behind for the next generation is anger, sadness, and the temptation of revenge. His ideologies make sense, because "someone has to do it," he was just the one who stepped up so the message could get out there. But is what Mafty is doing truly the correct way to go about this problem? Is all the collateral damage going to be worth it in the end? Will killing all those in power truly relieve the people of the world from gravity?

You should look into the Books of Tomino's sequel to Hathaway's Flash. Gaia Gear has an interesting retort and actually fixes the problem from Hathaway's Flash. By a proper Char clone. I wish we could have Gaia Gear just so we can get the funny Char vs Char interaction.
@@barrybend7189 Gaia Gear is in such a weird place though since it's a Gundam story written without Mobile Suits because it was written separately from Sunrise. Though I think the Gaia Gear and Refined Zorin Soul are cool suits that would be neat to see.

This is one I was looking forward to. Seems like most Non-UC just doesn’t trust him. And he is honestly just carrying too much on his chest. Don’t worry his dad will help take some of that weight off of his shoulders.

@@Jociaoftrades I consider hathaway as the best Char successor. Yes he's not a blond, wears a mask or have any physical characteristic that follows char clone trope but he's definitely shares the same idealism with him. Thus he's my favorite Char clone.

The Chinese Cough was a problem, they needed to do location scouting in Australia just like they did with the Philippines in part 1, but the restrictions made that impossible for around 2 years.

One disappointment i have is unlike CCA Amuro Hathaway doesn't have the Novel version of the Xi Gundam. I prefer the smaller proportions of that one to the movie one.
I hopefully if they taking a quotes about the Gundam Hathaway version of Hathaway Noa in the SRW games coming soon
I remember this voice mafty voiced by ono kensho-san instead of the original voice of Hathaway sasaki nozomu. I wonder why though.

Here is a question, who would win, Hathaway or the Federation pilots in this game. Feddies being, Shiro, Christina, Kou, and Io. No Amuro or white base since they know who he is. I think he could actually beat all of the Fed pilots even if they grouped up.
Of course he will. The XI outclasses all those ms in every way.
@@frawliet2738 I say even adding Amuro and Char from the OYW wouldn’t even help. Throw in Bernie, the Kampfer, GM Sniper II, Gouf Custom, and they would still struggle. I feel it would be another Byarlant Custom situation again. The Xi is just too powerful and Hathaway isn’t that bad of a pilot at this point.

@@frawliet2738 well I was thinking early feddies. The before Titans and massive corruption one. Yes the Feds have always been corrupt, but the early years had some great pilots. Technically Amuro CCA is apart of the Federation as well, and Hathaway doesn’t stand a chance against him and the Hi/Nu Gundam. Hell Zeta Gundam and ZZ might stand a chance against Xi if they were considered Feddies.
