I know I am late to the comment section but some "real world" insight in to the bent range finder. I dress in Mando armor as a cosplayer and the RF is an item that gets broken or hit on things endlessly. Also in the standard installation of the RF it is hard to see it or "use" it. If the RF stalk was bent like that it would actually put the RF right in front of the users eye making it more practical. Dave Faloni and John Faverau have been active in researching how the fans in the Mando Mercs have made their kits and have taken note from those makers. So it is plausible that come of the mercs personal touches have come through to the screen.

@@weirdpigeonproductions Thank you. I just discovered your videos and am loving all of them. Especially the differences in the Storm trooper helmets. I knew there were differences, I had just never known exactly what they were.

Remember most beskar was confiscated and melted down by the empire. Which would include the captured armor. So using a new design actually makes a lot of sense as many of the old handed down sets have probably been destroyed by being melted down.

Makes sense that there are multiple armour designs. I like the variety. Like you say maybe the Armourer favours a particular style and other factions have divergent ideas.

The one piece chest armor is an older version
Mando's armor jangos armor and boba Fett's armor is modern mandalorian armor
And seeing boba Fett for the first time doesn't mean there weren't mandalorians long before he ever existed just means they were in the show

Boba template is 100 percent more iconic than the new Mando designs

I agree, it also seems more functional and flexible since it’s made of multiple separate plates. I’m really excited to see all these designs in live action next year!

Is the beskar fiber in the under armor patted jumper? I’ve never understood how they survive fire fight with so many exposed areas between plates

4:29 That guy looks like a Neimoidian royal guard! Could this be the first on screen depiction of Neimoidia? That would be awesome!

Helmets are rounded so why not a more conforming range finder

Is it just me or do these Nite Owl helmets look silly in live action? To me, they seem almost as silly as the Inquisitors with their beyblade lightsabers in the Obi-Wan show. They kinda look like some fanon cosplay you'd see at Comic Con. I honestly think that in the future, Dave Filoni should think about what a design would look like in live action before including it in one of his animated shows.

I think they look fine, not sure what exactly you think wrong with them but they look like you'd expect them to IMO.

Looking at the visor design I can see what OP means. I think the visor makes it harder to see than a traditional T visor like male mandos have. Nite Owls have a Y visor that doesn’t exactly line up with your eyes
