Ahh, this video brings back many memories.....
This Video Just Slapped Me In The Face With *HISTORY* And *NOLSTALGIA*
I know I was super young going on this ride I can’t believe they go rid of it
I miss this ride. Thank you for uploading this. I was actually in the preshow when I was a kid.
Disney needs to build a retro park with nothing but all of the great rides they use to have all in one park! They have gotten rid of so many good rides and attractions over the years.
I think that Disney should have a Museum and Have All the Props and Set Pieces Used in Disney Movies, Like, Costumes, and other stuff, Like the Costume that The Late, Great, Living Legend Actor Bob Hoskins (R.I.P - 2014) and The Living Legend Actor Christopher Lloyd, and Actress Joanna Cassidy Wore in the 1988 Disney Movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", The Shrink Machine that was Used in The 1989 Movie "Honey I Shrunk The Kids", the 1992 Movie "Honey I Blew Up the Kid", and The 1997 Movie "Honey We Shrunk Ourselves", Etc. Etc.
Just go to Tomorrowland for old outdated rides
Out of ALL the places they could've chosen to put Toy Story and Star Wars Land, it HAD to be HERE?!
They were both have almost the same thing, the Paris (France) version was a bit longer while the Orlando (USA) version a bit shorter comparing the two of them.
The silent era! Ha! The power of sound. Love it!
People are like, "oh look, Star Wars!" and I'm more, "Oh Look, The Life Aquatic!"
Love the screams as the water goes over the tram.
that prop warehouse was awesome, there was so much to see but we always had to rush past it all to get on the bus
Now I'll never see it :/
Gone but never forgotten....
I had the opportunity to visit all the Disney parks in 2014. I remember thinking that there were less rides here than at the others. I'm stumped as to how I missed this one. I thought I combed the park with a fine tooth comb
This was such a great attraction, and totally on point with the whole theme of the park. Such a shame that it, the Great Movie Ride, and other attractions went away leaving the park a shell of its former self.
exactly what I was thinking! It seem as though Disney often forgets that the park is called *HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS.*
This attraction was my absolute favorite back then. Great movie ride was a great one too.
No at Hollywood Studios in Florida.
Great Video,Great Quality
Thanks for posting
+Horgan Family Thank you so much!
Fascinating. Thank you very much !
Euro Champs 2016 PortuGAL Your welcome!

This is an interesting tour, because you get to see plenty of sets that were filmed on TV and used for movies a long time ago. Plus, you get to see another set where "Judas" by Lady Gaga was filmed. Sorry to spoil the magic for you, but you only see them at Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando.

Kid: "Whats Pearl Harbor?"
Me: "I guess public schools just said, "fuck history""
cappacola007 peal harbor is the days of ww2 aka world war 2
Pearl Harbor is the military base we had in the Pacific during World War 2. the japanese bombed it.
cappacola007 Well it's a kid, they don't know much
It's the day Japanese killed Hawaii
BennettBat 21 Japanese is a language... Japan is a country... I guess it shows how educated you are too
All of Disney World is a sort of backklot. Good tour.
I hope Disney’s stores these props away in a warehouse rather than destroying them
the mostly abandoned them, like horizon's props, or sent them away to the hq of disney. or just reuse them.
Funky that’s great to know. Thanks!
Really excited to see the new star wars stuff here. I haven't been since the 90's.
That tractor trailer park I could have swore I remember the first time I was on it they use too have a explosion then the 18 wheeler fell
Cybertron Warrior people complained about the heat and tried to sue Disney. One of the other reasons why they took it away
Stylez nun what a bunch of cry baby’s
Did they stop going by the "Golden Girls" House?
+BruffDaddy I think with the addition of Lights, Motors, Action! they took out all of residential street (where the Golden Girls house was). Which was really kinda sad.
So sad it's gone and that the car show went
This is some serious space for a new mini park. I hope they do something like Universal did with Diagon Alley.
*cough galaxy's edge cough*
@@papingosstudios161 looks like disney took my idea... im going to call a lawyer now lol
@@jeenyus720 bruh
I wish they didn’t get rid of this tour. I don’t remember any of what you see before you get on the tram though. I’m not sure if it changed from when I was there in 1992 vs when this was filmed.
Disney is so freaking cool man, I haven't been since I was a child but God damn I wanna go asap
great video brang back memories thanks for posting
So they laid off the tour guides to get a dull voiceover? Why?
+Jorge Arnoldson Don't know I always liked the tour guides more. It's more personal and they at least talk to you
Because humans are dumb and can't keep their mouths shut,so by doing a voice over, it points out the tour on time, every time.
9:01 he guy standing right there looks at him like why are you recording me?
Good job filming. This back lot tour totally sucks in comparison to the Universal one. Thanks for posting it so all of us to see it.
+Travis Batdorf Thank you you are welcome and I agree the Universal Studios Hollywood tour is better.
SHUT UP
Yeah i went here as a kid and they havrnt changed anything except some of the movie props like the hannah montana chicken house and stuff in the prop room. Other then that it was the same.
I miss this, but I also miss the great movie ride. Disney killed most of the rides I grew up loving and then got stupid overpriced. I got no reason to ever go back.
When I went on this back in 08 I thought is was going to be like the one at universal or even better but it was a lot worse. They really need to add something substantial for it to be worth keeping.
Great video, I see a lot of move props that I have in my movies, thanks for letting me see this video.
+Tim L Yeah no problem thanks for watching!
That would be cool.
does anyone remember what movie the spaceship from 24:08 is from? I loved that movie
Antonio R Flight of the Navigator
Yes!! Thanks!
im going to disney world in 6 weeks plus iv nefer bin
this event is closed down
So this is disneys version of Hollywood studios ride?
Jon Kimberson well this is Hollywood Studios. But Universal Studios version is called the Studio Tram Tour.
16:27
Please like and comment if you recognize where this big prop came from! PLEASE!!!
In my opinion I think I may like Universal Studio tour better cx
NO
My favorite radio
Wow, My best friend, Wonderful video dear. I enjoyed watching. Hope to see you soon
I’m so sad this is gone!
But imagine if they brought back (even though toy story has its own spot)
I remember they once used guests in that boat scene but i guess they stoped it for saftey reasons shame as well cus i got to stand on the boat with my bro
It’s crazy the took the studio out of Hollywood studios for some Star Wars crap
I wonder why they don't have any people/volunteers up playing the parts/roles in the beginning. They usually do I was only here a few years ago.
Anyone notice the flight of the Navigator UFO at 9:30? I thought they got rid of this ride, when we went there in 2012 they said this was gone
they got rid of live tour guides?
Yup Disney messed up removing the Disney Animation. This was a great immersive ride. I like starwars but maybe not at interesting
Someone help! I'm stuck in a cave. I think I set off some kind of trap.
Great video
but I have one question?
Thanks! What's your question?
+Deathbyillusion I know it's stupid question but
did you know how can I became actor in Hollywood ??
I'm from Germany ??
+Nano Chiba you can start by getting a job at Universal Studios Hollywood like the tram guide are actors where they do speaking parts. They don't stay as a tour guide that long though cause the sometimes get TV roles and stuff and as a tour guide you get a free agent. It's a good way to start.
+Deathbyillusion I also want to know in Hollywood studies record there without college degree or not?? because
I see a lot of children in the most famous Hollywood movies
I want to know how they do that??
I'm not exactly sure what your asking, but you don't need a college degree to be an actor, you just need to audition for parts. An agent's job is to get you information about auditions, so being an actor is a bit easier if you have an agent. There's a lot of videos on youtube that have the information you're looking for so I'd recommend researching.
Dammit Disney what are you doing praising a Micheal Bay movie!
+hoegido think again dude heard that Its either gonna be Frozen themed or they bringing Cars Land to WDW!
i never been on this ride
This ride is being taken out and replaced by Cars Land in the next year or two.
Cool, I wanna GOO
WHERE IS IT
RIP
where is this at?
It WAS at Disney World's Hollywood Studios in Florida. They got rid of it. However, if you go to their Stunt Show and go to the top of the bleachers, you can turn around and see Catastrophe Canyon, which is the canyon where the flood takes place.
Watch the whole half an hour could someone let me know if they do the jaws thing on this ride like in Disneyland
BandsGalore9 Universal does the Jaws stuff.
mgm studios always seemed to be the least interesting park for me. I've never been though, kinda want to, but don't want it to be a waist of time and money...
I liked this ride but I’m not upset it closed. It took a lot of space.
Jacob Edward Lynch The tour was once the park’s signature attraction when it first opened as a working production facilities. The backlot tour was real that had a walking portion of the tour which allows guests to see what’s in production in the soundstage.
Rip
Why did you have to cover up everybody's face
+adam naayeme because im using this for commercial purposes as why there is ads on this video and I didn't get their permission to film them on camera. If it wasn't for commercial purposes then I would be ok.
Seeing this ride makes me cringe so badly! Especially when the Disaster Canyon scene shows up, because it's a ripoff version of Earthquake, the Universal attraction. As a Southern Californian who grew up with the original Studio Tour, you can tell very quickly who's trying to copy who. Nice attempt Disney but you can never beat the classics. Thankfully this is gone because it was so bad and the other and original Universal Studio Tour remains to this day!
I don't entirely disagree with your comment but YOU should read about Disney and Universal's ongoing quarrel when both parks decided they were going to create a movie studios park in Florida. You can watch a video on Rob Plays That Game titles "Disney vs. Universal! | Did You Know Disney?" Then maybe you'll understand the moral of Disney and Universal's quarrel...
Regina Mills Exactly! If you were to see a video of the original Earthquake attraction you'll see that there is a part in which the subway station ceiling collapses and a Semi Trailer truck carrying a Propane Tank that says Liquid Gas slides down and erupts into a huge flame. Another similarity is the power line which collapses right in front of the crashed Semi Tanker. A flood is also simulated along with the tram shaking. Yet another similarity is that the scenario is housed in a building codenamed "Soundstage 50" in which the guide mentions that the crew are on break and are allowing us to take a look. The only difference is that the Earthquake takes place in a San Francisco subway station. The Orlando version differs but it's the same. The effects are more intense on this one, but makes since cause after all it's only Disney.
+Reginamills sorry but I agree with the lady, Disney is a knock off, trying to copy earthquake the big one
kimmy cuthbert That is not true! Earthquake has better effects overall and is simply more realistic.
that's what I said idiot! earthquake is the best ride at Universal, try reading the freaking comments
kinda if your a tall person this ride seriously lacks legroom.
I sincerely hope your camera was waterproof for all the times you and the rest of the audience would've gotten wet.
零戦の方がかっこいいぞ
This camera work is terrible.
lame
Dude you’re awful at filming ride POV’s
This was never a real Backlot tour. Just a cheesy-themed tram ride.
E.L. Norton Actually, it was when the park open as a real working production studio. You used to go to inside the soundstage to tour what was in production below (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse set was reportedly been seen by guests who was on the walking portion of the tour). The backlot went downhill since the park ceased its production around the early 2000s.
Nice 10 seconds of Cringy cam. As my man Porkins says “locked on target”.
I dont want to
How boring!!!!!
George Floyd 💜 Kimberly Brinks
Is Ray Charles filming this??
im not talking about that im talking about saying "First comment" its so pointless!
I have to say as a Brit watching this I find this tour extremely boring I know it's a theme park but the working sets don't even look real and I think they should be more convincing ! 👎😕
I am so pissed they got rid of this. Hollywood Studios and the only thing that really resembles "studios" was the backlot tour. Ok, it was outdated and needed refreshing but replacing it with Star Wars? :o
Ayrton Hockaday exactly
Ayrton Hockaday I AGREE!!! And all for 1 little store?
@@toastythegamer2302 Its not for the store. This is now where star wars is.
I agree I’m just so mad that they could just not move it to a different place😡😡😡😡😡
Just like everything else, when was the last year MTV was actually music television. It’s like the end of Cassino who is talking about how the corporations to go over and the glory days are over, now go look at an LED screen to be happy or No Disney For You!
I miss this ride. Thank you for uploading this. I was actually in the preshow when I was a kid.
Disney World is not the same without this.
Toa Kopaka I agree they took all the good stuff out
Autumn Wolanin Absolutely. They took out The Sorcerer’s Hat, The Great Movie Ride, American Idol and Disney’s Magic of Disney Animation. Disappointing that they withdrew them. So many great Disney attractions, so little time
It's completely baffling how they renamed the park "Hollywood Studios" and then got rid of all the attractions that had anything to do with Hollywood.
@@dev.1359 The Park lost it's identity & charm (we get it will have Disney IPs but now it's wasteland for Toy Story & other IPs that not necessary Hollywood)
**trigger warning for children of the 90s who were dragged on this by parents and left traumatized**
I was dragged on in 2012 or 2013
@@105DARKNINJA yeah same and i always used to call it the fire truck ride for some reason and it left me crying cause of everything on fire
19:37 this was the furthest back I could think of as my earliest memory ever, I was 2years old and was Scared for life from this part of the tour lol I remember it like it was yesterday lol I’m 27 now
I bet y'all all have stress cards now and use pronouns to describe your feelings. Grow up.
@@jasonklavender1 I think it's just a joke bro
Back in 2007, they used to have actors and audience members participate in that opening WW2 set and create a scene about a bombing complete with all the effects. Me and my sister in laws husband were chosen to play two bumbling ship mechanics to add some comedy relief and they dressed us in waterproof period costumes. I was completely into it, falling over the ship for laughs but he wasn’t into it at all and tried to stay out of sight 😔. Shame it doesn’t exist now
I did that too! I was in the engine house and I got drenched!
I got to do that too I just extended my arms and welcomed the wave lol
I did that too with my brother! I was at Disney for 16th birthday (instead of a sweet 16 party) and got to go on the set as well. The cast member said they wanted me to get a magical experience and that was in 2011.
Wtf they usually have actual people, guests from the audience, participate and "act" in that opening.
I feel like they forgot they were holding a camera...
And remembered again but forgot again. (Repeat)
Unfortunately the Backlot tour we have today is a shadow of it's former self. It's been vastly shortened since the addition of Light's Motors Action, which replaced Residential Street (which featured recreations of famous sitcom houses), and when Streets of America became pedestrianised, this part of the tour was also removed. Back when the park opened, this was the flagship ride, and was over an hour long.
Rob Yeo well, now it’s gone... 😭
Lol I like how these Disney fans say that Universal Copied Disney with the Backlot tour when Universal started the backlot tour in 1966 and Disney did it in 1989 smh
hideous apple lol i like how people go out their way to comment about a place coping another place but in reality it doesn’t matter they have more money then we will ever have smh
hideous apple They did lol.
This Backlot Tour used to have a lot more. When I first went in 1998 they had the Home Alone house and many other things, but they had to remove that stuff since the addition of the Lights, Motor, Action! I think they need to add more...
rip Disney's backlot
The Universal tour is better, but the Warner Bros. tour is even better than Uni's. Haven't tried Sony's or Paramount's tours.
The Queue line had more shelter than The Slinky Dog Dash. RIP Studio Blacklot Tour.
During one of our family trips to Disney in the early 2000's, both of my uncles got to participate in the water show at the beginning. I remember it was one of the funniest things I had ever seen at the time. I was only probably 8 years old at the most, but it was still hilarious. Makes me wish we had recorded it back then. :)
they removed the section where you go by the houses they used to film Golden Girls and Empty Nest; they probably tore them down to build Lights, Motor, Action Stunt Show; also, there used to be way more vehicles in the boneyards!
Wish i would have made it down to ride this one last time before it closed me and the wife made it down for ellens energy adventure and the great movie ride
at 9:55 you can see the ship from flight of the navigator very cool in the back round
Are you thinking of the Great Movie Ride?
Gosh I barely recognized some of these props and sets dang and I am a die hard Disney fan wow
This scared me the first time I went to ride it (when I was younger).
