Inauguration Ceremony Speech CGI Durga Puja 2019 | Random Musings

In 2018, 3 families came together to start a Durga Pujo at Ramlal Bazar, Kolkata.
The members of this enthusiastic bunch are spread across two cultures (Bengali & Tamil), two cities (Kolkata & Wickford), two countries (India & the United Kingdom) - and we aptly call ourselves the Chakraborty Ghosh Iyer Durgotsab Committee, CGI Durga Pujo in short!
Every year without fail, we take the opportunity to feel like celebrities, by organising a grand Inauguration Ceremony - where we ourselves are the hosts, we ourselves are the guests, we ourselves buy the ribbons and the scissors, and then we ourselves hold the scrissors to cut the ribbons and welcome the Goddess.
And of course, there is a lot of laughter, and singing, and dancing and speeches.
