I’ve got camper tiedowns that attach to my front bed bolts on my 05 long bed extended cab Sierra. The only other option to install the FASS pump is to mount it to the second bed bolt. This video was very helpful video.
I just made my own bracket from a chunk of 1/4" 3" wide steel I found. 1 pc 6 3/8", 2nd 3 5/8", weld the short to the side of the long lined up the same as the original bracket. Drill your holes to line up correctly. Then paint with some black Rustoleum to help protect it. Mount it on the 2nd bolt back, with Pump forward of the bed bracket which ends up behind the filler. Plenty of room to go up and tuck it up there.

What CAT filters did you use?
What about the tires throwing stuff into it
Been throwing stuff at them for just under a year now, . Zero issues
I had the same concern. I put mine in a completely different location.
