Hey Em! I gotta say...I'm way older than you (47) and was born and raised in NYC. It's definitely not rhe same anymore. Ny used to have the best vibe and decor over Christmas but not anymore. The past 10 or so yrs ny hasn't been the same. It's like it had its soul sucked out. The vibe is different. I miss the old NY

I’ve only started watching since vlogmas but this is the first vlog where I think you’ve just shown the true you it was nice to see a video not soo materialistic PR/AD heavy looking forward to seeing more of this side x
To be honest I write Ad Pr just to cover myself if I’ve ever worked with a brand, luckily & grateful I have worked with so many over the years so because of this - even if I’ve re bought the item myself I go and write Ad pr on screen but unless it says Ad as a singular word it isn’t paid for - I just write Ad pr to protect myself on any brands I’ve ever worked with (like I say, even if repurchased with my own money) but I haven’t ever seen anyone else doing this so I think I’m over disclosing which actually just annoys people / makes me look materialistic! It gets very confusing! Thank you so much for watching! X

Em, first of all I'm like you and all about decluttering after the holiday! I like to start the New Year with a clean house, so although I see a few people comment not to take the tree down until January 6, I like it down before New Year's Day - unless we are having a party in our home on NYE or New Year's Day. Second, I think religious people differ in this too - my dad was a minister and we never kept it up until the 6th. I feel like once the presents are all gone it seems time to take it down, although I feel a present or two needs to be put under the tree the day it goes up too! :) You are a delight as always, and I hope you have a lovely New Year's Eve and fabulous New Year's Day!!

I had this small tree 4 foot with tons of ornaments for years, Then I bought a 6-8 foot tree with lights from Balsam Hill Epic!! They give you white cotton mittens, green bag wow the tree of dreams. So real looking and after xmas it was "cheap". Then I don't have to drag a real tree to the curb for the land fill. ;(
I bought the same sweater and I am currently wearing it 🤣. Tree and all decor comes down probably new years eve day so that we wake up in the new year with a clean slate.
Oh my I LOVE this! twinning is winning!!! Oh that is such a good way to look at it, probably should have done the same but wanted to start my clean slate even sooner! x
I LOVE Christmas and try to celebrate it thoroughly. I generally start putting up my decorations in November and wouldn’t think about taking down my decorations until after Epiphany, the 6th of January... aka the Twelfth Day of Christmas! However, my live greenery doesn’t generally last that long so I add a live wreath and live bits of greenery closer to the 25th and toss them when they start shedding. (Love the smell of fresh pine!) So incredibly thankful my permanent trees always look fabulous and don’t require daily misting/watering/sweeping up maintenance!
Everyone has a different tolerance/opinion about festive decor. Do whatever works for you or whatever is the consensus in your household... or rotate each year so everyone has their comfort levels met. Luckily the consensus in my home enjoys feeling that extra bit of peace, cozy and sparkle past Christmas Day! 🎄🥰🎄
We have also celebrated with the entire family after the New Year when everyone could arrange to be together. Jobs, travel conditions, vacation days, illness, etc. don’t always coordinate well with the 25th of December, so we don’t let a calendar dictate our Christmas celebrations together because the together part is our most important. And of course, fully outfitted with beautiful Christmas decor and our traditional Christmas treats to eats!
There are no rules written in stone! Be flexible! Do whatever meets your particular needs and makes you feel fabulous! 🎄❤️🎄

I will be taking our Christmas tree down on New Year's Eve due to working tomorrow & New Year's Day. It's the only day my hubby & I are off together lol.

It’s so sad to watch these videos when people have their Christmas trees up mega early then have their tree down on Boxing Day. Don’t bother celebrating if you don’t understand the event!! The 12 days of Christmas are 25th December till 5th January and here we are clearing out Christmas on Day 5!! Just bizarre 😂
I didn’t take it down on Boxing Day, took it down 29th and to be honest every other year I keep it up until January. I don’t think it’s fair to say don’t bother celebrating as I celebrated with the tree & enjoyed it for over a month. Timing wise sadly the only day I had to take it down really was this weekend! Sorry - next year I’ll make sure I hang on! Love to understand traditions more ❤️
@@Emshelx wasn’t aimed at you specifically but you are the 4th one i’ve watched that has the tree down already and I had to put my opinion across. I think it may be a generational thing where youth of today have no understanding of the true Christmas, not necessarily their fault, not taught. I’ll keep watching don’t you worry but I just wish people would be true to the meaning! X

Did you have to pay for your vocal fry. You could really damage your vocal cords and it’s really annoying. If it’s your normal voice you need to check it out as it’s not natural.
I paid £250,000 to have my voice altered and have a vocal fry, they put my vocal chords in a deep fat fryer to fry them xx
I am really struggling to hear you talk throughout this video. The background music is actually louder than your voice and the rest of the video you sound really muffled so unfortunately I stopped watching less than half way through because I just couldn't hear most of what you were saying so it was pretty pointless watching!
