And this year, i was able to witness solo comebacks from 6 of them(kai,sehun in military & xiumin hasn't said anything yet). Same for Shinee. They had comeback in 2023. That’s only as a group tho as individually they were lacking which is many of the members left SM for individual promotions Exp and now RV have been sabotaged in terms of how big they could’ve been by management with intentional delays, mistreatment, lack of intl tours when demand was at their highest, etc. Chill kill promotions were so lackluster for RV that some of the members were calling in favors and putting out promo materials themselves

So we've yet to see how much sparse comebacks they'll get. Snsd's case is similar to EXO's with half members under SM and half out of it except no lawsuits involved. But their group activities had reduced even lesser than RV's during their 10th year. EXO's case is much more complicated than them because of lawsuits involved from multiple members, one unavailable foreign member, and members still not finished with mandatory enlistments. So until all members are out of the military and the lawsuits are settled, it's hard to speak for them. But now NCT 's enlistment and soloist eras have started, so they'll gradually start slowing down on the group schedules but they have like 10 units so idk what'll happen with them. And regarding solo promotions, SM has a favourite member in each of their groups whom they'll always treat better (more like neglect less) than the rest of the members. It's Taeyeon in snsd, Karina/Winter in aespa, Taeyong/Mark in NCT, Seulgi/Irene in RV. So yeah fans have to be prepared for that as well.
people are bashing HYBE nowadays but you will never see any of their groups inactive. SM on the other hand did the real mistreatment in their artist, they did dirty in promoting their famous artists. Even in their last comeback RV received a very poor promotion, members even have promote themselves and post their comeback photos personally in their own soc med.

SM Promo Center 3 must have a smaller budget or something. Otherwise I can't explain how they flub some of the most basic promotional stuff every time. At least one of these: multiple live countdowns counting down to a suddenly delayed MV, understocked albums, announcing comeback in same month with no date / no preorders, no official RV japan fanclub despite them having multiple Japanese releases and an album, missing album mood samplers, members having to upload their own hi-res promo pics. Center 3 literally only has one active group to manage - Red Velvet, while its other responsibility TVXQ releases like once every two years. Even RV's web content is mishandled. Their Countdown Live Replays aren't translated until promotions are already over (despite having Live translations). Their birthday special videos are uploaded months after the event takes place (i think last year Joy's was released in November). 3-4 year gap with no dance practice videos despite having multiple comebacks per year
Part of it is k-pop going global that it's losing its authenticity and who knows in few years music show concept will be abandoned because nowadays music show wins doesn't necessarily determine success
As a business I understand, but knowing that these groups have helped established these big Kpop conglomerates really is disheartening. Aespa wouldn’t exist without Red Velvet’s success and honestly without groups like BTS, TWICE, Red Velvet and Blackpink, Kpop wouldn’t be as big globally in general. Hwasa and Whee In, from Mamamoo, have different agents for their solo work away from Mamamoo. Moonbyul and Solar, have stuck with RBW for their solo work and as far as I know, everyone is happy with that arrangement. If this is correct, what a scoop it would be for them to offer contracts to Red Velvet as a group, if they wish to perform together in the future?
Those BP labels might not have the personnel yet to handle anyone other than the main artist at the moment. Usually these types of companies are meant to handle their own activities rather than expand to sign other people, though it would be nice. For now, I can see Joy and Yeri sticking to acting Wendy might join some place like AOMG or P Nation (which does well with solo RnB artists and producers), or she might double down on being WanDJ at SBS
Of course it will. You are just going to have to come to terms that it will happen to all groups. That is how business works. Aespa will be put to the sideline when a new popular group comes and the same thing will happen to that group and so forth. The machine has to keep going and older gears have to be tossed for newer shinier gears.

We've yet to see whether they'll be ne this much active or not in the near future. Regarding the lack of contents, tours, international promotions etc. on SM's part, I fully agree with those. They had so much potential and deserve so much better.
@@LP-ct9nk now Idk about snsd and shinee. Shinee is a much smaller group than EXO with no foreign members who were all under SM until earlier this year. So we've yet to see how much sparse comebacks they'll get. Snsd's case is similar to EXO's with half members under SM and half out of it except no lawsuits involved. But their group activities had reduced even lesser than RV's during their 10th year. EXO's case is much more complicated than them because of lawsuits involved from multiple members, one unavailable foreign member, and members still not finished with mandatory enlistments. So until all members are out of the military and the lawsuits are settled, it's hard to speak for them. But now NCT 's enlistment and soloist eras have started, so they'll gradually start slowing down on the group schedules but they have like 10 units so idk what'll happen with them.
And regarding solo promotions, SM has a favourite member in each of their groups whom they'll always treat better (more like neglect less) than the rest of the members. It's Taeyeon in snsd, Karina/Winter in aespa, Taeyong/Mark in NCT, Seulgi/Irene in RV. So yeah fans have to be prepared for that as well.

people are bashing HYBE nowadays but you will never see any of their groups inactive. SM on the other hand did the real mistreatment in their artist, they did dirty in promoting their famous artists. Even in their last comeback RV received a very poor promotion, members even have promote themselves and post their comeback photos personally in their own soc med.

SM Promo Center 3 must have a smaller budget or something. Otherwise I can't explain how they flub some of the most basic promotional stuff every time. At least one of these: multiple live countdowns counting down to a suddenly delayed MV, understocked albums, announcing comeback in same month with no date / no preorders, no official RV japan fanclub despite them having multiple Japanese releases and an album, missing album mood samplers, members having to upload their own hi-res promo pics. Center 3 literally only has one active group to manage - Red Velvet, while its other responsibility TVXQ releases like once every two years.
Even RV's web content is mishandled. Their Countdown Live Replays aren't translated until promotions are already over (despite having Live translations). Their birthday special videos are uploaded months after the event takes place (i think last year Joy's was released in November). 3-4 year gap with no dance practice videos despite having multiple comebacks per year

As a business I understand, but knowing that these groups have helped established these big Kpop conglomerates really is disheartening. Aespa wouldn’t exist without Red Velvet’s success and honestly without groups like BTS, TWICE, Red Velvet and Blackpink, Kpop wouldn’t be as big globally in general. There should be A LOT more gratitude to these people.

Hwasa and Whee In, from Mamamoo, have different agents for their solo work away from Mamamoo. Moonbyul and Solar, have stuck with RBW for their solo work and as far as I know, everyone is happy with that arrangement.
I believe either Jenny or Jisoo, maybe both, from BlackPink are setting up their own Management company? If this is correct, what a scoop it would be for them to offer contracts to Red Velvet as a group, if they wish to perform together in the future?
Those BP labels might not have the personnel yet to handle anyone other than the main artist at the moment. Usually these types of companies are meant to handle their own activities rather than expand to sign other people, though it would be nice.
For now, I can see Joy and Yeri sticking to acting
Wendy might join some place like AOMG or P Nation (which does well with solo RnB artists and producers), or she might double down on being WanDJ at SBS

Of course it will. You are just going to have to come to terms that it will happen to all groups. That is how business works. Aespa will be put to the sideline when a new popular group comes and the same thing will happen to that group and so forth. The machine has to keep going and older gears have to be tossed for newer shinier gears.
