@@scriabinismydog2439 nah, 3:42 is way harder

For me 3:42 is way worse because my hands barely reach a 9th
To play that part I should play the F and the G with the thumb, the D with the index and I'd play the higher F and G using the ring finger and the pinkie

my favorite part is from 5:22 to 6:12 it is pure chaos and gives a feeling of mystery, strangeness and power, especially the part of the major arpeggios with diminished fifth, and a descent until the dominant E flat arpeggio of a pretty strong way and as it fades over time ... it gives me chills

This video made me appreciate synthesis after 6 years of doing music. When I see a synthesia for a regular piece, it feels like I’m watching some boring slideshow because the special sense doesn’t seem to match the sheet music I see for the piece. But this really captured the spatial sense of a sheet music that was already complex. In a way, it kinda lets you know how much technique really goes into this.

I always come back here. While other performer tried to toss the boat on the deep of the ocean, Oguro makes the water flows guiding the boat without that tipycal despair of the most of pianists. This piece form Miroirs, Gymnopedie No. 2 and Mozart Alla Turca defines that calm and finesse a pianist needs.

But once you are at the level to be able to play this then yeah some can learn this in a few months and some maybe a year.

Hi I’m replying really late but here. I’m 16 and I’ve been playing the piano for 6 years. This piece took me 2 years to learn properly. I can’t play it exactly at the original speed, I’m just a bit slower but it’s still pretty fast. I forgot to mention but I didn’t learn this by myself, I have a teacher. I don’t know if you’re gonna see this comment but if you do and you’re wondering how I did it, well, honestly it is really hard but If you take it piece by piece slowly then progressively going faster and faster, it gets easier. It’s gonna sound corny but you have to be really determined cause you’re not going to succeed after one attempt, I promise, but eventually with hard work you’ll get to it and when you do, it’s such a good feeling cause you feel so strong and at the same time the play sounds so good so it’s amazing. Anyway if you see this then I hope I helped and if you’re not like dead and you have other questions, don’t hesitate

Finally here’s a piece I’m learning right now that I would have thought was impossible when I was learning basics.
1:32 is page four on my score, and holy hell, it made me want to shoot myself. Especially the lead up to the massive 64th note run later on.
Also, I believe the tempo is usually a bit faster. That’s how I play it at least…

For the main theme where the left hand has the arpeggio, I do: 5 3 2 1 3 2 1, then that back down. As for the G# that appears with the downward stem in certain measures, I actually hit that with the right hand even though that may not be traditional. It helps me get a stronger accent.
