I love to watch the interaction between the horse and guard. The guard was talking to him, and petting him to reassure him. What a beautiful thing to see. These horses are so loved and taken great care of!

They shouldn't allow PA systems anywhere near horse Guards. Surely these people have to get permits to hold these rally/events??!! If they do then the authorities need to start turning them down.

How many times do these people have to put our horses, soldiers and the public in danger til someone does something about it??!! Time and time again this happens. Can’t they see how the horses are suffering because the senseless noise. Really angers me 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬

This soldier handled this really well considering the horse is spooked. Why does the crowd not realise the immediate danger of being hit accidently by the horse?

It must be hard for the horses with all the noise in the distance, I know they are trained for everything crowd related, but they are very sensitive to certain stuff ❤

This sweet horse clearly doesn't want to be here. He/she would probably rather be with other horses in a nice field, or at least, somewhere away from the NOISE. 🇬🇧

Poor horse, not a happy cookie, almost looks as if the bit is too high in the mouth…but then I have no idea about horses……the noise should not be allowed - poor animal . My congratulations to the rider . My heart was in my mouth just watching is struggle
I thought exactly the same about the bit. I’m not a horse person either but it was clearly irritated by the bit in his mouth. Every time either guard or soldier tried to pull on the reins he would try and head butt them away.
The horse was clearly unhappy and wanted to go back in but each time he tried they just kept bringing him back out. Why? It was distressing to watch and distressing for the horse - and obviously for the rider who had to press the panic button (and the response coming was way too slow).
And why let the public so close? Is it really necessary? It’s only a matter of time before a horse gets spooked and a member of the public gets injured!

The horses who get spooked by the public, pa systems etc are behaving entirely naturally. What amazes me really is just how good the police horses are. They don't seem to be worried by anything.
@lynnbean7200 they go through a lot of constant training with loud noises and large banners etc to desensitise them for things like protests and riots. Don't know what kind of training they do for these horses though.

Showing off some Royal horse guards in traditional attire, just to entertain the tourists, isn't going to help restore the decline and imminent destruction of this once great country, to immigration and lawlessness!!

The handler is doing a good job, rider is helping. These are not police horses and may no be used to loud noises. Poor babe take him out and replace with a horse who can cope, or ban rubbish near them
My only problem is sometimes it takes to long to get someone out there to help after the button is pushed. These guards are so in tune to these horses but the horses can be unpredictable if spooked to take flight. Its a natural defence they have.

Second horse-the big bruiser-is usually calm. Perhaps it's something exterior like that strange music. Strange how two horses in a row are having a hard time.

Just because you make sure everyone can hear you.. Won't make a tad bit of difference to whether anyone is actually listening to you.
Shouldn't be allowed to have PA Systems near the horses. Especially when it's obviously spooking this one.
Police should have the powers to make them move away or ditch the PA system.

Poor Radford such a lovely horse. Why do tourists insist of getting up close to a horse that is obviously getting stressed out and upset. If they had any thought for both the trooper and the horse they would leave them alone.

You can all say what you want but I watched a much longer video of that horse it was not happy to be there horses like many animals are more intelligent than most humans something had that poor horse well spooked it could either smell something wrong or feel something wrong maybe the guy on his back isn't a pure hearted fella and the horse doesn't want some wrong'n on his back

The horses shouldnt stand there its not fair they should be doing real jobs like dressage or something not just standing there putting up with all the nosie from the crowd tell them all to do one
How about taking part in Ceremonies like Queens Funeral , Coronation , State Opening of Parliament , Trooping The Colour , Household Cavalry Musical Ride are those " real jobs " ? They don't just stand at Horse Guards that's a small part of the Ceremonial duties they are trained for !

They dont talk to their horse they don't pat the horse down or comfort the horse enough
