No one knows it yet but Kuhn is your best player, he sees the game faster than everyone else. Engels seems to be at that level too.
Just a proper LCB, RB and LB needed and you could legit make QFs in the Champions League with this team.

I get your point but the positions you’ve highlighted are our most solid positions.
@@rossmoynihan5211 You've got it back to front IMO bro; it is the defensive pressure of the front six which covers up for these scrub defenders. You can not replace Maeda or Kyogo paying £15k per week wages in the current market.
Johnston is OK defensively but lacks the technique and speed of thought in possession to be UCL level. Darius Vassell scored an overhead kick and was England's best player in a tournament but he still wasn't Michael Owen for Villa afterwards just like Johnston can't be Dani Alves.
Taylor just isn't athletic enough to be a quality football despite improvement. Scales has the same problem x10 as I mentioned in other replies.
As soon as Joe Hart left and Kasper appeared the team improved 10% overnight. Same could happen in the spots I mentioned earlier.

not a celtic fan, watched 60 mins of your team because my team isnt playing today. never seen a player with bigger appetite to win the ball back like maeda, and actually get it back. cause you can run around for 90 mins like connor gallagher or mason mount but they rarely got the ball back while players like park ji sung or kante really did. very refreshing because this kind of players are very rare

Yep.....we know what he can do. He's better without the ball than with the ball tbh. His work rate and energy off the ball is prodigious and he's deceptively quick as well. He can chip in with the odd goal line he did today as well. Far bigger tests to come but we'll take any win in the Champions League regardless of the opposition.

Once they down the line to Kuhn at start of 2nd half they folded, they were terrified of his pace and stood off him,Maeda? The sublime to the ridiculous but love his work rate and causes havoc with his closing.
I'm with Darren on Maeda. I've always admired his energy, workrate, attitude etc but his end product drove me nuts.
He just seems to be simplifying his output... I dunno what he is doing different but it's working, big time. What an asset to have!
His physical attributes are unique for a LW in the modern game

Fair play to Calum for admitting he was wrong about Scales but it's the other 2 who vilified him last season for no good reason and followed that up by not mentioning or begrudgingly mentioning his name in most videos. BTW Paul, Scales was UEFA Man of the Match, not a throw away Sponsors one. And it's not his first CL MOTM award either so alittle bit of respect wouldn't go amiss having got it so badly wrong for many months. We'll leave it at that for now.

Taylor plays his heart out of that there is no doubt but I think he just lacks that bit of quality you need at champions league level.

The Celtic board get a lot of stick and rightly so. But the fact they managed to get Engels from the Bundesliga to Scotland is very well done. This is the calibre of player Celtic should be looking at signing regularly

Worst opinion I've heard in a while. There are levels in sport and Idah will start vs Falkirk.
Strikers spend 90% of the game out of the penalty area in modern ball so this finishing is almost irrelevant. No chance Celtic win 5-1 with five different scorers if Kyogo isn't the spearhead.
Kyogo is a better player and finisher, he will likely start every champions league game

Kyogo's movement is the best at the club by far. The whole attacking system relies on it to function at UCL level hence the links to Man City.
Adam Idah is bog average lads. His finishing might be better but outside the penalty area he is a Championship player.
