New car new number ? Slip streaming takes a lot of practice. It really starts at corner entry before the straight. At corner entry you need to go a few feet deeper into the corner with about a 10 yard gap. It means a bit later apex and a better drive off the corner. Stay in the slip stream as long as possible to get as much speed differential as possible. With about 4 to 5 feet distance do a hard lane change and hope to make the pass.
Nice start to the season! Im sure uve mentioned it elsewhere but what series are you competing in? Im looking at options for when I am based back in the UK. Cheers
Richard, do yourself a favour, and look at turning in later. You are turning in in some, too early and as a result it puts you into the ripple strips at corner exit, and makes it hard to get the power down.
I agree. He should also be unwinding some steering to put the car into a drift mode if he's entered the corner fast enough. Look at old pics of Jimmy Clark at corner apex in the days of treaded tires the front tires are pointed dead straight ahead. It's how I drove FF in the early '70's. It's fast, but it takes a few hairy spins to get the hang of, and should be practiced where there's lots of run-off area.😳
I just turned 25. I aspire to do something similar to you when I’m 50. Love the content!
You are getting better and better. Keep at it.
Felicitaciones Richard, excelente vídeos. Sigue publicando con tu mismo estilo. 👍💪
Thanks for the great video, looking forward to watching more and best of luck with your racing !
I just subscribed. take care.
Driving it onto the trailer after a satisfying run is always a great weekend.
Great to see you back on track, I'll pop over and say hello at Croft!
“His car positioning is perfect” is polite Englishman speak for “he’s blocking!!!!”
