There are mixed responses from students when asked how they’d assess the Modi government’s highs and lows.
Some value development, pointing at improvement in infrastructure and India’s elevation on the global stage. Others base it on welfare schemes and the haphazard implementation of policies like NEP. And almost everyone has something to say on the state of communal harmony in India.
At St Joseph’s College in Bengaluru, Manisha Pande and Pooja Prasanna find out just what young voters want.

yeah they got pm aavas yojana, ladli behen yojana, gave eligible famer families rs 6000 per year(crossed rs 3 lakh crores), launched pm suraj portal for underprivileged people and got toilets. They will give a much more enhanced review on the bjp.
As per my observations people don't have money in their hand in rural areas, and Congress is not successful in showing the failure of the Central government. And Modi directly telling communal dialogues for votes not telling his development works.....
Just the privileged kid crying about their struggle in moving to and in Bangalore. Someone please tell these kids thousands of Indians come to Bangalore every year in search of employment all the way from North.
When voting they claim to see a larger picture, that one supreme leader for the "Nation", but won't see the "national" issues. A whole state of this very "nation" they claim to care about has been burning for more than a year now, but they don't give a shit about it.

Let me tell you brother, my father was in indian army and he served for 28 years. I think most of the people doesn't know this ,but when i asked him, was it the first time that we infiltrated PoK and gave a reply to terrorist attack, he said no. Whenever terrorist attacks happen across the border the indian army used to carry out counter measures infiltrating the border in their territory but it was always kept secret obviously for national interests. The governor himself blamed Modi government for Pulwama attack in which 40 jawans lost their lives as the CRPF were made to wait for almost 5 months for 4 helicopters to transport the jawans. The request for transport helicopters was later denied by Modi govt and the jawans had to leave by road leading to attack. Modi politicized Pulwama to ask for votes during 2019 elections which is very shameful.
This image that Modi has strengthened the Army is fake. China is building roads inside our territory and when people in Ladakh protest about it, section 144 is imposed and news is blocked from reaching the public. You don't hear about the infiltrations in Kashmir as godi media who work for the govt don't report it unless a jawan is injured or killed. Agniveer scheme is a flop and youths who were training for many years to serve the nation have lost hope.
On Employment Modi has failed, 30 Lakhs jobs lie vacant despite so many unemployed youths.
Being educated none of them even spoke about Electoral Bonds which is by far the biggest extortion scam in the world. None of them even spoke about price rise which affect everyone in the country. None of them even spoke about women safety.
People from rural regions who are more in touch with ground realities are more informed about issues affecting INDIA than these so called 'educated' youths.

What it felt is students are talking very good, still the neutrality towards bad is worse as no mentioning of "we must cast out the religious bias by the government". Some says, its mere politics, but a few steadfast with true governance is not about propaganda. Youth are not to the level of eradicating the hatreds, development terms are actually "politics", but religious hatred and phobia are beyond the "politics"
I'm not a fully young guy today. But these youngsters don't know how it was live as a young adult in 2010. We used to feel ashamed to call ourselves Indian because of new scams of lakhs of crores each week coming out of Manmohan Singh's Congress sarkar. Today we at least feel proud to call ourselves Indian within and outside our country. During Ukraine war, even Pakistanis called themselves Indian to escape the violence in Ukraine. This is the change after 2014. If the majority of population has amnesia about the 10 horrible years of scam UPA, I think the future will be very tough for us.

As a PHD scholar , I can tell you that research facilities are so bad , and I think I should go abroad to complete my research , our government decreased spending on R&D from 0.8% of GDP to 0.65% instead of increasing it. Ideal spend on R&D for developing countries like India should be around 4 to 5 percent of GDP or even higher. I think if you are not going to increase our spending on education, R&D etc, we are not going to be a developed country, as development is a moving target.
