Yes, me too. It's the raag, Pilu is so enjoyable! It's a delight to hear it so full of harmonics in this princely playing. Thanks for posting! He obviously reminds us all of his father's yesteryears!
No word is good enough to describe your music. Exquisite melody, deep, humble, precise play. Your music is a real catharsis for the audience. Keep on filling us with wonder...
Some 35 years back I attended a mehfil of Ustad Shahid Parvez. Out of 3 hours 2.5 hours was Jod Zala. It was mind blowing performance. His Son will take this parampara further. I wish him best wishes. Shubham Bhavatu
I had the good fortune of listening to Ustad Shakir Khan ji at Ranga Maati Festival yesterday (12 Feb, 2017). Mindblowing! I have been listening to his renditions since then on youtube. Thank you, Mr. Louis!
Sorry fir being THAT late in answer Anup! Shakir Khan is a mind blowing sitar player for his young age you're very true sir. He is a nice human being too...
Is he a disciple of Ustad Vilayat Khan’s gharana? He definitely has Ustad Vilayat Khan’s left hand trade mark technique. He plays the raga brilliantly. Very joyous play indeed.

He is playing sitar classical he is not doing mujra. You cannot shout keyabat keyabat here as if you are enjoying thumkawali mujra. Please keep quiet and applaud when he finished.
