I used to find it a very therapeutic task. most reg fixed was the SA80A2 I hated that rifle but it was still nice. I served with some of your men out in Afgan in 2010. Flipping the cylinder closed doesn't hurt the frame, but it IS hell on the crane (which holds the cylinder assembly). If you do not know the full mechanics of revolvers, you will not notice the damage occurring. Crane damage will alter the timing, barrel/cylinder gap, and complete lock-up. Enough damage, and the cylinder will no longer align correctly with the hand, causing it to incompletely rotate, or even jam. Flipping can also damage the bolt, which is essential for cylinder lock. I sold it like a dork.Than I had a Ruger Sp101 with a 3 inch barrel in .357 magnum and I added a Hogue custom wooden monogrip.I sold that also like a dork.Now my only pistol is a Glock 19 9mm with some cool additions.My favorite Ar is my Colt M4 carbine with 16.1 inch barrel.
That pistol is very similar to the .460 Magnum I was able to shoot Tuesday. Also was able to fire a Scar H/ Mk16 5.56 with an Eotech sight. Totes badass

Ive heard the main issue with slamming revolvers shut is throwing off the timing between cylinder and hammer, eventually causing the gun to fire without cylinder properly alligned. blowing the gun up in your hand, idk for sure just ky understanding

In my opinion, guns aren't the problem. You're 100% right Dan. I feel it shouldn't even be titled "gun violence". At the root of the problem, it's violent people. Blaming guns for killing people is like blaming pencils for misspelled words, or utensils for making people fat. It's not the extension the person is using which is the problem, it's the person them self.

CLP for ya guns man.... worked for me so far. even cleaned em with Hoppes 9 then used CLP and CLP grabbed a bunch of crp off my rifle and handguns.
