@@miss0Sweetheart That he said that out loud in that bungling way, I suppose, shows how emotionally damaged he is, really, from the emotional restraints and very specific expectations under which he was raised. A century before, he would have been married off to someone who was raised in a similar way, and they would have had similar expectations-- and he and that woman would either have had a better chance at happiness, OR she might have not expected much romantic love or fidelity from the relationship. She would give him children and behave with dignity, he would make her a queen and honour her as such...and they likely would not have expected much else of each other. Sad, but uniform. But Charles, raised as he was, marrying someone raised, more or less, as "normal" person? And expecting her to not notice or just overlook the fact that he was already married to someone else in all but law, and would be mostly emotionally unavailable to her? Expecting her to totally efface herself and suppress all her emotions for him, and do it with stoic dignity? That was a serious mistake, because those are startlingly unhealthy expectations in the rest of society.

Charles saying, "whatever in love means!"
Yikes...
kind of a red flag, there
I know right ? Some Prince Charming ?!? Yikes - She deserved better - at least he could have treated her with some respect and decency
@@miss0Sweetheart That he said that out loud in that bungling way, I suppose, shows how emotionally damaged he is, really, from the emotional restraints and very specific expectations under which he was raised.
A century before, he would have been married off to someone who was raised in a similar way, and they would have had similar expectations-- and he and that woman would either have had a better chance at happiness,
OR she might have not expected much romantic love or fidelity from the relationship.
Interesting to think how he responded to that same question if Camilla were the bride?
Especially since that was their ENGAGEMENT interview
@@melissasaint3283 i dont think Diana was raised normal. She has been at boarding school too. And she is also of nobility that is even ranked higher that Charles' ligneage
Pass the crown to William, skip Charles no way Camilla will be called a Queen 😭 !
Edit: Most people believe that Charles won't reign too long giving him 10-20yrs maximum.
She will not be Queen- I don’t even think she’ll be referred to as Princess. She might just keep the title she has now or go by the King’s Consort. And honestly, it’s what she deserves. Charles should’ve been made to abdicate to be with Camilla. William *should* be King.
@@MexAm120902 there shouldn’t be.
@@kait7168 When I was a kid I thought the word "consort" meant whore.
If that happens then will revolt and overthrow monarchy if that ugly cow is to be queen!
When the divorced, he couldn't become King. When Lady Di died, the Queen set aside her previous decision. People were mad and still are. He should be skipped.
She was a princess, the most famous person in the world during that period, always photographed, charitable, kind. It was very sad ending.
"whatever in love means" right there, she should have ran.
Agreed !!! 100% !!! It was a huge red flag !!! But I guess she was a teenager and hence very naive.
But she can't, you can't just run when you are engaged to the heir of British throne. Poor her!

Well what did Camilla and Charles get out of this? Nobody even remembers Camilla until the media brings her up, even after becoming the wife she'll still always be known as the other woman. The spotlight is still on Diana. No other British queen or princess will ever be as dear to the public as Diana was. I feel so much hatred for the creep Charles. A guy that ugly didn't deserve an angel like Diana in the first place, so now that I think of it, it's good they're together to rot with each other

I agree with you 200%, Such a boneless excuse for a man!! Diana was way too good for him! Diana was out of his league!!
Yes, she did have affairs too. However, she was used by Charles and family to bring heirs to the throne. Difference is Diana was accepted where Camilla was not. She was in love with him, but once you are neglected enough by your husband and family, she too started looking for comfort elsewhere. Obviously from another man.

Hi there
It saddens me to think that Diana had no real life after Charles. Struck down at 36 years old. I feel for Harry and William because her death will never be the same. I think she was a wonderful mother and a true inspiration to her home of England. To this day seeing the beautiful person she was not being there for her grandchildren and children simply breaks my heart.
I was 17 when Diana died. I remember it like it was yesterday. I couldn't help but tear up when I saw her funeral procession at the end of this video.
She was too beautiful, too good for that man.
Had Lady Diana and Prince Charles not got married, the world wouldn’t have Princes William and Harry. Yes it’s terribly tragic that we lost Princess Diana, for sure it was. This was beautifully done and so respectful. I saw Princess Diana with my own eyes once and she was stunning, however, I saw sadness in her eyes. Charles was a cruel fool to treat her that way as was Camilla. Diana was a wonderful woman who did so much for so many yet we could not save her.
