Is the Alpine A110 S that good? FIRST DRIVE in the Enstone Edition

I have been a long admirer of Alpine, a brand steeped in history with a strong bond with the racing world. The nimble A110 model has always intrigued me, is it actually fair to compare it to modern Porsche 991's?!
The short answer is YES! These are the complete car and I truly don't think there is a better sporty daily for this price.
The model I have here is the limited Enstone Edition, so granted it's sportier and got all the options that a standard A110 wouldn't have! Although without these options, I'd still be singing this car's praises.

The driving position looks to be too high for a rear engined sports car

You can lower the seats using the bolts . There are 3 positions. I have mine set to the lowest and it's great .
