3:38 Such a shame Android Authority... You should have known the MagicOS or do get it customised. MagicOS 8 has app drawer and you told it doesn't have one... Shame shame.

I’ll take that one on the shin since it completely ran past me! I tend to default to a custom launcher when testing a device like this long term but for a short first impressions I mostly focused on what Honor considers their “stock” configuration, which for all intents and purposes is without the app drawer enabled out of the box.
