Hi does g3 surfaces can be properly seen in a 3d print?

Probably not. Unless you have a really good eye, it's hard to distinguish between g2 and g3.

I was just wondering if 3d printing is possible in alias and you uploaded a day ago, thanks! Did you try to 3d print this?

No I haven't tried 3D printing this. And yes, Alias can make data for 3D printing!

Why use duplicate instead pf the array tool?

I haven't thought about using array! I've been using duplicate because it's numerically accurate, but I might give that a go.

it's better to use STEP with printing. I suppose STL will downgrade surface quality

I've only sent out data so that other can print it, but haven't tried it myself. Do 3D printers accept STEP file?

@@3DDesignAcademy I’ve got modern Bambu Lab X1C with its Bambu slicer (based on prusa slicer). It CAN handle STEP without loosing quality.
The main problem is how to divide big part into small parts because print volume is not big enough.

@@jutablane That's cool. STEP file should give a resolution. However, I wonder if it still converts the data into a STL file.
