jfc. Charles is one of the only throwers who simultaneously inspires me to get better, practice more, develop my own style... and also makes me want to give away all my nicer yoyos, keeping only a plastic responsive to practice on until my form is impeccable and I feel like I deserve to continue playing unresponsive. he puts everyone to shame with that un-fuck-withable flow.
Everything is ok. World peace has been achieved. Everyone's chakras are aligned. Humans and animals are getting along with tranquility. This is the best video.
Seriously, god damned beautiful. Absolutely love the style of the flow and actually using the pacing instead of just frantically fitting in every trick you can. Honestly it feels weird to even call them "tricks". Kudos. Makes me want a Grail.
Easily my favorite thrower. Not just because he could go to world's and win...but because that skill is in the spirit of just enjoying yoyo as a creative outlet. Art. Great video.
damn this is is nice. I freaking love your style, I am so grateful for the internet that I get to see insane throwing like this. flow, pacing, tricks, and just a little black magic.. dope stuff man, keep it up
The song is gone because of copyright... 😢😢 Would you be the super hero of the day and upload it to vimeo or to make available a copy to download? Charles!!
So, so good... and inspiring. And I love how - through the opening sequence and the skills on show - you guys are continuing the tradition of the Powell Peralta Bones Brigade video series. A-RT's videos are distinct, but heavy Ban This vibes from some of your work... and that is the most influential skateboarding video there is, at least in terms of skateboard filmography.
ok... I was thinking a top down view would be helpful. Also how the wrap around the thumb is placed (so as to create a pinch or not). Sometimes it's in the timing, sometimes, it's the placement. That's more what I'm curious about. I understand Charles' tricks look the way they do because of his slack control and pacing. But the manipulation of the string by the placement of the thumb is really what I'd like to hear him elaborate on. Thanks for your input though!
oh my god, I just realized that the silent section of this video is 3 minutes and 33 seconds... which is exactly the length of John Cage's composition 3:33... which is 3 minutes and 33 seconds of fuggin silence!
I am actually planning a video on how to articulate the essence of your question, it ties to so many different things. I hope to have it out by late august!
This is true art. Well done.
After watching this my mind woke up and said yeah when did we ever start liking competition style
Easily one of the best throwers on the planet. Period. Fuck a comp, this is IT.
