AsSalamu Alakum, Alhumdullilah Allah blessed me to listen to this lecture, May Allah bless you Shaykh and your family. After listening to this lecture and Reflecting on what Allah blessed me to listen to this morning: Surah Baqarah, verses 100-152. Allah says in Surah Baqarah, verse 138: "Our Religion is the Baptism of Allah: and who can baptize better than Allah? And it is He Whom we worship." MashAllah, Allah blessed me to reflect on this verse and look at His Creation. As I look out my home office window and watch the gentle rain fall on the peach tree outside, I reflect on how much water and Barakah blessings Allah sends down in abundant rain. More than a tree can hold on its leaves, the leaves are dripping with huge drops of water. I reflect and think this is what Allah means about the Baptism of Allah. Our whole body is submerged from the womb, and after we are out, we are submerged in Barakah blessings. Even more than we could ever appreciate or count. Like the heavy rain falling from the sky, we can't count the raindrops that drench the tree with rainwater. But if we look at the cycle of the tree, we may see it's not always being drenched with rainwater. Sometimes it's barely a light shower, sometimes there's no rain at all for days, weeks, or even months. But the tree still obeys Allah. Allah gives a good soaking to stand strong and pull from all the other resources Allah has fortified it with to stand strong and grow. To withstand the scorching heat of the sun, that doesn't burn all its leaves to a crisp. The violent, strong winds don't rip all its beautiful green leaves off, leaving it bare. The brutal cold and dark nights don't darken or fade its green lush beautiful colors. The infestation of bugs and animals and insects above and below do not rot its roots or make it unstable, unbalanced, and topple over. The Baptism of Allah, in Allah's blessings and barakah, is shown in this tree, what Allah is able to do for this tree. MashAllah. This makes me reflect on us as human beings, how we should be. It makes me reflect on the Shaykh's lecture, how he eloquently spoke of the subtle blessings we take for granted. The overflow of blessed rain in our lives is to help fortify us to be grateful, stand strong, balanced, humble, and obedient to our Lord. All praise be to Allah, Allahuakbar. I love you, Allah. Thank You for showering me with blessings and favors that I knew and did not know, or even remember or recognize, and forgive me, Ameen
